I ordered and had food delivered, food was great but they need to pay better attention to beverages. You pay for a large drink you should get what you ordered. I ordered root beer and got sweet tea. I can’t drink sweet tea so it went down the drain. I could have bought a 6 pack for what that drink cost.

Update, I stopped in on 1/23/26 at 1:30 pm guest #135.i ordered a tailgate special with BBQ. When I got home my wife and I started eating . She loves the BBQ so she got some on her plate with cole slaw, potato salad and one chicken tender. She took one bite of the BBQ and i knew something was wrong. She started coughing and drank some milk. I tasted the BBQ and notice it was unuallly very spicy hot. My wife can not eat spicy food. Everytime we come to this Smithfields there is always something wrong. They are not consistent with their seasoning or portion sizes. Very disappointed.. I stopped at Smithfields on 5/30/2025 at 5:18 pm guest # 251 and ordered a tailgate special / with BBQ , potato salad, Cole slaw and hush puppies. When I got home and ready to eat I noticed that one of the breasts was very small and very dry, the other breast was a little larger, but it was dry also . After looking at the rest of the chicken I was totally disappointed. The thighs were also small ( see pictures ) and the legs looked like wing piece. The potato salad was like pudding with no chunks of potatoes.I ate here a couple of weeks ago and the chicken was awesome. I hope this is just a one time thing, Other than that everything else was good. The next time I go there if everything is right , I would definitely give 5 stars. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean and orderly. Handicap parking, access and seating.

We stopped in to pick up some BBQ and sides to take to the condo. The BBQ was yummy. The hush puppies were good. We enjoyed the Cole slaw. The potato salad could use more seasoning but it was okay. I wouldn’t recommend the banana pudding, kinda disappointing. We sure wish they would add some green beans and potatoes to the menu.

Buns on the sandwiches had an off taste…bbq tasted off also…it was like stale bread and yesterday’s BBQ. Never experienced such from Smithfield before. Won’t be going back at the Newport location
