Went there with a low expectation, but turned out to be a great meal. Authentic north eastern chinese style 串 bbq skewers and 锅巴肉 were all good. Armosphere could be better, but food wise one of the best chinese bbq places we tried in he bay area.

The best get together Chinese BBQ around the neighborhood!!!!!!! It is always my first choice when we are craving for some good food afterword. The sweet sour pork is a must order dish! We also tried the candid sweet potato is fancy, worth to try.

Smiling BBQ is my favorite Northeastern barbecue in San Bruno and Daly City. The taste is very authentic and juicy. They provide a wide range of choices including veggies, lamb, beef, chicken, fish, and oysters. Definitely five star recommendation!!

Pretty disappointed with the food. Way overcooked skewers. Service is pretty average. The place was dirty, saw some bugs crawling on the table. Would not recommend.

We just ordered some food from here and I was a bit skeptical at first, but the wonton soup was amazing!! Perfect, clear broth that wasn’t too salty but amazing taste. We also had the chicken frames and they were very tasty! Last, we had fried rice and I appreciated that it wasn’t overwhelmingly salty. I think the atmosphere could be a bit brighter—but overall the owner was friendly when I picked up my food and I think the most important thing is that the food tastes good. It definitely deserves higher ratings. Please give this place a chance.

Best Chinese style bbq in Bay Area. The north Korean style cold noodle is amazing – something you can’t really find in most Korean restaurants in the U.S. this our go to spot for late night cravings. Good value too for Bay Area. Family style service.

The service and decor are questionable but the BBQ here is just delicious. The lamb kebabs aren’t too fatty, and so you’re actually eating meat. The squid is also phenomenal.
