Love the Charlie Boys and schooners. Great place to watch college football, but really need to turn off the Touch Tunes or turn the volume WAY down during the day so football can be enjoyed and conversation can take place otherwise it’s perfect.

This is not a place you come if you’re from out of town. Sure they have frosty beers but they also have frosty employees. If they don’t know you they don’t serve you and if you ask them to they’re incredibly rude. If you’re looking for a bar with great atmosphere, service and televisions you’d be better off at Nautical.

Okoboji is a great family spot, but man can eating out really wrack up the cost of the trip—that is until we found Smiles with Miles.
Now, to be clear, it’s a dive bar, but in the best possible way. Dani was an amazing host for us, giving us some amazing recommendations. All the food is fry-food, but for less than $30 we had our family of four well fed and dry during a storm.
Dani was great to recommend a lot of other spots around town, from beaches to hotspots to check out. She made our kids feel at home, and again the food is delicious. Oh, and for those who may not know, a tavern is essentially a maid rite, or a loose-meat sandwich. It’s delicious and peppery. Definitely recommend this place!

Always a great option with a nice mix of local and vacationing clientele. Smiles has food during early eve hours. The big draw is serving drinks in frosted Schooners; which hold a large volume of whatever you’re drinking; reasonably priced you really can’t go wrong.

Staff is friendly and drinks are good. They have a front patio with tables, chairs and speakers out front so you can still enjoy the music when you want to go outside. Haven’t had a bad time yet.

Called to see if our football game was on there and gathered all our group to go there. When we arrived it wasn’t on and the waitress said it was changed to accommodate other people!! No one was watching the TV they changed and some other guests also wanted to watch and she refused! We will NEVER go to this establishment again.
