The food was good, the service was a single person up front at the counter. The interior is very tired, water stained walls, dim lights etc. We weren’t sure it was open even standing in the doorway. They had a solid sanitation rating and the restroom was clean. 4 burgers, 4 fries, 4 sodas, $70.

The burger was delicious although it was a bit salty. The french fries were okay if you like skinny fries, which is not my personal favorite. The smash tots were seasoned well.

my hotdog was so good! i love that they have the gloves to eat so your hand doesn’t get messy and smelly. our food came super fast. I didn’t get a pic of my hotdog cause i ate it fast

I had such a horrible experience today. I was on my lunch break and i work at duke hospital. So I stayed around the area and visited smash burger. 1 both orders were wrong. I accepted mine and my partner sent his back. I was told the cook “ didn’t feel like remaking it “ after we payed $32 for both meals. and was waiting 30+ minutes for them to return with the correct sandwhich. although the lady was very helpful in the front she lacked communication where she should have told us they were going to remake it and we could have took our lunch break somewhere else. whole lunch ruined. i will not be returning. after a long day of work this is not where you want to grab food from.

Service here is beyond slow and attendants are unaware that customers can see them. Young man is too busy flirting with the young lady at the counter and getting phone calls that visibly have nothing to do with business to make orders in a timely manner. The kitchen staff was working diligently to put out orders and due to the frontend staff talking and playing the food piled up. Had to remind staff to make the food. Food was completely cold when we got it and kitchen staff had to come and assist. Better service up front would have rectified all of this.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Ever. All places have struggled after Covid so I’m not gonna crucify them for issues that are out of their control. Considering the context (fast-ish food), and being realistic for the establishment, the burger is amazing. Keaton is a great manager and when he’s in the building I can guarantee my burger and fries are gonna be “chef’s kiss” every time. My burger is always tasty. I leave full and happy.

Really good burgers fries and drinks! I actually live 2.40 hrs away. But ALWAYS stop by before leaving Durham. Customizable with single or double patties and super fresh toppings! They have your typical Coke fountain drinks but also some specialty fruit/lemonade refreshers and great Häägan-Dazs shakes! The Smash fries are the best! Great staff and music.

I don’t come very often as every time I do I say it is the last time…well our visit on Friday is absolutely the last time I eat here. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (single). When my burger arrived there were no onion strings as pictured (I was told they don’t have them) or bacon on the burger! The burger itself did not taste fresh. One of us only ordered a side order of the tots…we finally had to go ask for them. Service left a lot to be desired. I have to blame that on lack of managerial attention.
