Worst place around ever, all of them are rude and not helpful at all. Literally all of them are acting like they are doing a favor to the customer. They took over 20 minutes for a burger while the place was empty, they didn’t have any shakes (or at least that’s what the people in the front said) and when asked what took too long to cook the guy talked shit back with explicit words “ You are crazy” I eat on smash all over Jersey and New York and never had trouble or such a bad experience as I did with these guys.

Pretty good until the fountain drink CO2 needs to be changed. They seem to be slow on purpose when guests let them know. It’s probably just me, but I wanted to comment to see if others experience the same thing. On top of the fountain machine issue, my food was subpar in comparison to usual. Regardless, it’s pretty good most days. Today it was a bad experience.

I walk up to order and the manager immediately gives me attitude for not hearing “for here or to go” so he cuts me off and asks again. So I responded with the same level of volume and he immediately threatens to not take my order and an argument ensues. Tells me to “step aside” for a “conversation” so I laugh and he proceeds to kick me out and call public safety. Outrageous gaul on this man.

I’m Re-reviewing this location for a 3rd time giving the store back 3 more stars because the female manager today was kind, polite & understanding why my order was messed up. She deserves a few stars because she noticed this is an ongoing issue with staff and student ordering on the mobile app. Please make sure to stress u don’t want any sauce or mayo. And if u do- it’s very Heavy.

**Side Note: the location being closed entirely on Saturdays & Sundays is definitely hurting the business. Most weekends, students look elsewhere for something different then campus food after a long week. Professors and community members alike. Maybe the hours can be looked into? Especially when summer comes along & many students stay Newark residents all year. Thanks 🙂

It probably designed for the future when less people come here because it literally has only one register and maybe one cook to handle all the people came for opening week. But it’s confusing that they have ads all over the place prompt you to download their app to get discount while the register girl told me they don’t take coupons from their app. So the app is useless here. Nothing can be redeemed and no point will be earned. The service are better compared to other traditional fast food chain. Most people love their burgers but I find the avocado in mine is not the best quality.

I went to this location for the first time today and I will say not only was the food prepared well and tasted delicious, but the MANAGER was soooo friendly and made everything was very accessible to me as I am in a wheelchair. He made sure everything was perfect with my order and kept checking to make sure I was okay and satisfied. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you 🙂
