I bought a chicken burger with fries from Smash Bacon for my godson. He rated it a 9.5/10 and really, really enjoyed it! He said the breading and flavor was super good, and the chicken was very tender and juicy. I have to admit, it looked really tasty.
The storefront is inside Market on 8th, and is surrounding by a Mexican seafood stall and a taco stall. The staff are friendly, easygoing, and the prices aren’t too steep. They also offer bottles of ketchup, mustard, ranch, and BBQ sauce for you to take to your table.
Overall, it’s a nice experience, and we can at least vouch that the chicken burger is a top-notch sandwich. Probably on par with Crack Shack in Little Italy, but ~$4-$5 less per plate.

The Original Smash Bacon Burger is $11.99 and each order comes with fries. The burger patties are crisp with a caramelized crust and a juicy center. The bread was fresh and fries are golden and crispy. They have really good sauces and I specifically like their ranch. This place is located inside Marker on 8th, it can get crowded but there’s always seating available both inside and outdoors. Service was friendly and fast. I highly recommend if you are craving a burger.

This place is legit! We tried the smash bacon burger and the hot chicken burger and it’s one of the best burgers I have tried in San Diego, the bun is just perfect but the best part is that you can put yourself extra bacon and cheese so that makes it the best burger ever!!!

I ordered a bacon smash burguer and it was amazing, the beef paties were well condinemented and perfectly cooked, the bread was very tasty and the bacon added a great touch to finish it off.
The fryes were good but the chocolate milkshake took the price!!

Called in to see if I could order for pickup and I was rudely answered “no” and hung up. Fully understand if that’s not something you do but I don’t appreciate being handled like that I was so excited to try the food and that made me not want to go.

Ordered bacon guacamole burger. Burger was excessively spicy. I am not someone with a low spice tolerance, this was incredibly excessive such that even with a 20oz iced non carbonated beverage, i could not finish the burger and spent 20minutes struggling. Fries were good. Staff wasn’t great.
