We had Small Oven Bakery take care of our wedding cake and couldn’t be happier. Daisy did an amazing job meeting with us and figuring out what we liked. She was able to accommodate the idea we had for our cake and it turned out perfectly! Everyone at the wedding couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved it. The frosting was particularly amazing, and unlike a lot of cakes where the frosting is too thick and sugary the italian buttercream that Small Oven used was incredibly delicious and soft.
The price was very fair and they were able to deliver our cake for a little extra, it was nice to not have to worry about it. Have also been in here for the cupcakes before too and they were also delicious. Will have to return at some point for breakfast.

So like, obviously I ordered tea to have dine-in. And they said they were out of mugs so they asked if I wanted it in a to-go cup, but I was dine-in. What heck? terrible.
Then I wanted to get french toast. And I asked for it without the sweetened cream cheese. They said it was fine, but like I dont want sweetened cream cheese why is it on the menu? Also without a tart element the French toast is kind of really sweet. Maybe they could have some berries with it for a tart element?
Jk. Here’s my real review.
Love this place

The best bakery I’ve ever gone to, the cupcakes, sandwichs, sticky buns, chocolate Eclairs, and basically everything else is PHENOMENAL. If you want to eat in restaurant be aware their isn’t much seating. Overall really great experience.

I’ve heard good things about this place, but was thoroughly disappointed with my purchases. Not only were the displays unlabeled, but the menu was hard to navigate. I bought a cookie and a “house made” hot chocolate, but hot chocolate simply tasted like boiled water and a pre bought powder. The cookie tasted pretty good, except it was both hard on the outside and raw in the inside, which would be fine if it wasn’t also cold. The servers were really nice and welcoming however the food was unsatisfactory. Had high hopes for this place, but will not be going back any time soon.

Small Oven is that kind of hidden gem that you dont want to draw attention to, because it will get to busy to go. The coffee is really good, I will have dreams and crave the egg sandwich on Brioche. The neighborhood feel draws you back. As much as I want to keep the secret, I want them around for a long time.

My new favorite Saturday morning stop. The pastry selection is incredible and there’s usually something for everyone. I appreciate that they have decaf espresso so I can still pretend to drink caffeine while I nibble on a freshly baked pain au chocolat. Arrive early, they sell out fast!

Small Oven Bakery offers delightful baked goods and sandwiches. The lemon tart boasts a perfect balance of tangy citrus and creamy richness, nestled in a flaky crust. The thick-cut bacon avo sandwich is a winner, featuring bouncy sourdough and a zesty potato salad. While the food is top-notch, the small space might not be ideal for dining in.

Our wedding cake was DELICOIUS and beautiful. We got a 6 inch for us to cut and a half sheet for guests and everyone LOVED it. A delicious spice cake with apple compote and the best cream cheese frosting ever! Also, bonus fun to support a local queer-owned bakery!
