Ate here on our way through town. Food and service were amazing. The menu has so many options it was hard to pick something! Ended up with the turkey wrap with bacon and ranch, it was huge and I had to take the rest of it for the road! We also enjoyed the Rueben, which had a Parmesan crust. Definitely worth a stop if in Spokane, you won’t be disappointed!

Had to stop and see if this was worth the hype, and it only surpassed it! Pretty busy walking in, full house and half dozen in line but it didn’t take long to get an order in. With how busy it was I expecting quite a wait so was shocked when the food came out 10 minutes later. I had the Monte Cristo Torta spicy edition and it was amazing. She had the gourmet turkey and it was incredible as well. Their menu has so many options you could have a different sandwich each day for two months. And they prices are very reasonable. I am looking forward to coming back regularly and trying many other sandwiches. Cannot recommend this place enough, it is a gem.

We had a hankering for a sandwich and this place does NOT disappoint! Fresh made bread and so many options of hand cut meat! The sandwiches are piled high. Portions are plentiful. Served with pretzels for a fun twist (get it? That’s a pretzel joke!) and a pickle spear. The staff are so friendly and helpful- the menu is a bit overwhelming and we had a hard time choosing! The macaroni salad was great- more on the savory side than sweet, just how I like it! There are mud flaps from semis and oil cans hanging from the ceiling- a fun lunch spot. We will be back!!

Stopping through on my way to Idaho. Saw the place had good reviews and we love a good local sandwich shop so we gave it a try.
Got a turkey, avocado, and Swiss as well as a Ruben on rye.
The Ruben was a little dry but otherwise good.
I should have got my turkey sandwich on a roll because the wheat sliced bread is nothing to right home about.
Otherwise really delicious sand sandwiches.

6.30.25: I’ve been wanting to try this sandwich shop but they’re closed on Sundays. So, I finally was able to get to town on a day they were open. It was around lunch time when we walked in so the ambience was pretty busy and almost all the tables were taken, but we found a spot in the corner. We stood in line to order and we’re greeted with a smile when it was our turn.
I ordered John’s Veggie Bug and my friend ordered the special of the day, which was the Cuban. I made mine a combo and added the homemade roasted garlic salad and a drink.
When our order arrived, my sandwich sure did look tasty and it was! As taken from the menu, John’s Veggie Bug consisted of: avocado, cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, olives, cucumbers, sprouts, green onion, lettuce, tomato, pesto mayo and balsamic vinaigrette, on a grilled parmesan panini. This sandwich was super fresh, had great flavors, and I loved that it was on yummy grilled bread that was warm. All the ingredients were plentiful too. I liked how it came with pretzels, something different than chips and the pickle had a good snap to it. You could tell the roasted garlic potato salad was homemade and it wasn’t overpowered with garlic. The flavors had a nice balance. My friend’s Cuban looked meaty and says he liked it. It was so filling he only ate half and took home the rest for later. The Cuban is worth it’s value.
The dining area inside almost reminds me of an old school diner feel with lots of decor, art, and vintage type signs. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I’ll definitely be back!

Literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The Reubenator is where it’s at. Hit this place during a road trip and it was a great quick stop for some hearty food.

Smacky’s literally says on the side “Best Sandwiches in Spokane” and I absolutely agree. The sandwiches are worth the price. The rotating specials are never a disappointment and they are always friendly.

Giving 5 stars… BUT… I wanted to love everything I ordered, however I am a texture eater and the potato salad was a miss in my opinion. The skins are still on the potatoes and it seemed like every bite was full of potato skins and not potato. Flavor was amazing! Texture was a BIG no-go. I also tried the ultimate BLT, and that was fantastic . Will be going back to try more items off the menu.
