The atmosphere here was great—very family-friendly and perfect for kids to run around and play, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The pizza was a letdown, especially the margherita, which surprisingly came without any red sauce—that felt like a miss. The Greek salad was just okay; the dressing tasted like it came from a bottle rather than being house-made.
We came in with high hopes, but the overall experience fell short. It’s a fun spot for families, but the food left a lot to be desired.

Wow! I couldn’t have dreamed a better experience. We were there for week day lunch, which has a special that is a salad, soda and a slice. It was calm, so we ate outside which was perfect. BTW the spicy meatball is a little spicy. Pizza was amazing not a thick or thin crust but perfectly in-between. The place has a vibe that it might be a crazy bar at night, but still good during the day with family.

Slow rise in woodway used to be a great place we would take the kids to plan and have food for sometime it has been sloy losing its charm but after today it has showed me that its gone down hill we were there for a birthday party first thing i noticed was wow they made the plan area which was a good thing until my kid slipped and feel because someone had a bright idea to make the new are out of gravel with a concrete driveway going threw it so now gravel makes its way to the concrete and acts like marbles then i noticed the party room would not be comfortable look up and its cooled by probably one on the smallest windows units i have seen with formboad and duct tape to seal with the price they charge they could afford to do better final thing i noticed was pizza was far from fresh it tasted like it bee sitting out it was so bad even the kids who usually eat anything had their own two cents i would not recommend hosting a party here and would second guess my choice shortlys pizza just down the road has a safer and bigger area but pizza is nothing to go crazy about slow rise used to be better but now im not sure

I have been to the Lake Brazos location which is great. Disappointed in this location. The area to order food is small and in front of the drink machine. A very congested area. Adults and Kids getting drinks and rudely walking in front of people in line to order. I walked up to the register that said “pick up only” which is what I was there for and the guy gives me a look and said “sorry, we can’t take your order.” I explained I was picking up and order, he went to see if my order was ready and never came back. Terrible service. The curbside service is terrible and hard to figure where their curbside service is. Would be helpful to put it on the ordering website. It seemed like just a lot of young people working and no one was managing the process. Very unorganized. It was a Friday around 6pm. Pack your patience if you go. The pizza wasn’t great to experience all that chaos. I’ll stick to the other location.

I have never had anything to complain about Slow Rise.
It’s my first time ordering to go, and the experience was quite smooth.
The food was ready on time.
Even the server came out in the rain just to deliver my order. I didn’t expect it.
About the food, everything was good.

[Used to be] Great cheese pizza & their wings & pork shanks are pretty great too. Love the drive thru option, although plan on calling ahead like 40 mins.
Update- they no longer have pork shanks 🙁 but the honey Sriracha wings r fantastic!)
Update 2- After being a faithful patron at this establishment for years, we had a bad experience with our pizza (it was way overcooked or old or both and was very hard). I contacted the store, sent a pic and was told there was nothing they could do except put it on my account to not cook it so much next time. (Kinda hard to see how hard a pizza is by a picture I guess.) It is sad to see companies not care about the people who give them business week after week. I bring family from our of town here & come with my own family probably twice a month. Sadly, we will not be back for awhile.

The pizza is good. We got a 20” pizza and it was absolutely huge. The tater tots appetizer was really good, too. We also ordered wings, and my husband said they were just okay. The number-one thing I loved is that it’s very kid-friendly! For a 20” pizza, wings, tater tots, and three drinks, the total came out to around $70.
