Established in July 2019 by Rosie Mawer and partner Lewis Pheby, Slow Rise started as a mobile catering business operating in and around Lincoln.

We had a great time at Slow Rise and would definitely visit again! The atmosphere is trendy and staff are friendly and attentive. The range of vegan options is amazing and portion sizes are good too. Only feedback would be that the base of the pizzas could be slightly crispier and larger cocktails / glasses as they were delicious but seemed small for the price. The vegan classic tiramisu (homemade by the owners Mum was delicious too!)

An absolute gem of a pizza place when you’re in Lincoln! Serves the most delicious pizza you could ever imagine, (and I’ve had many pizzas in my time!) I had the special pizza of the month which was the creamed spinach and goats cheese, and let me tell you it was absolute perfection! I am a vegetarian myself so this really is a dream place for me, though i did come with my partner who is not and even he agreed it is the one of the best pizzas he’s ever had despite not having any meat! For all the vegans out there too, the amount of options were second to none and you’ll have the best time here with majority of the pizzas having the option to be turned vegan; which in usual circumstances is very rare! In addition to my pizza I also tried the truffle arancini balls (10000/10) and I had the winter berry nojito to drink (went absolutely perfect with my pizza!). To finish, I had the special tiramisu of the month which was double chocolate and oh my god if i could eat 10 of those right now i would! It was so dreamy and delicious and i love the fact they are made by the owners mum! I am so annoyed i didn’t take a picture of it before absolutely devouring it but trust me it looked and tasted gorgeous, in fact everything the whole time we were there was presented so so beautifully! Last but certainly not least i have to thank all the team at slow rise for being so so great, in particular our lovely waitress Daisy who always had a smile on her face and made us feel so comfortable our entire visit 🙂 I will 10000% be back, hopefully even next month so i can try the next specials they have to offer!

A solo dining visit, ate in. I didn’t realise I was coming to a vegetarian pizzeria, so as a vegetarian myself I was delighted to see the menu and spoilt for choice. I chose the hot and spicy.
This pizza was one of the best I have ever tasted. I would readily be back for more if I lived locally.
It’s not a large restaurant but I had enough room and the service was very friendly and efficient. My food also arrived astonishingly quickly.
A great drinks menu too, including the non-alcoholic selection. I recommend the spiced apple nojito.

I recently booked a birthday party for 11 at The Slow Rise Pizzeria in Lincoln, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The location is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The booking process was straightforward, and the menu offered an excellent range of dishes. The food is made with high-quality ingredients yet remains very reasonably priced, and the waiting time was pleasantly short.
I’d made a special request for tiramisu, which wasn’t on the menu, and Slow Rise went above and beyond to deliver an exceptional dessert which our guests thoroughly enjoyed.
What truly made the afternoon, however, was our waitress Charlie. She managed our large party with diverse needs and preferences with remarkable composure and attentiveness. She anticipated our needs, coordinated service flawlessly, and ensured every guest felt looked after. Thanks to Charlie’s attentiveness, all our guests had an amazing time.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Slow Rise Pizzeria — excellent food, great value, and outstanding service make it a genuinely special place.

We went on a Wednesday, whilst on holiday in Lincoln. We didn’t know that Wednesdays are specials day, but we’re so glad we went! I had an amazing cocktail and pizza for a bargain price. If the pizza was rubbish, it still would have been a good price… But both the pizza and cocktail were excellent!
There were great vegan options, so my wife wasn’t left out – even their homemade tiramisu is available in a vegan version. That’s worthy of a 5 star rating all on its own…

Nice place with plentiful vegan options! My server, Jess, was great. Order was brought quickly. The drink was delicious however very little! Only a couple sips… The pizza was good enough though not particularly memorable, a bit oily. The vegan tiramisu was absolutely delicious!! Overall a good place to go.

Amazing Place!!
Pizza is great, we love the specials. Tiramisu is the best we’ve EVER had (and we’ve eaten a lot….), it’s so light and creamy. Cocktails are lovely, and a great selection of wines. Staff are all brilliant. We’ve been on some particularly busy days and the service and quality never falters. A real gem of Lincoln.

We had a superb experience when we went as a group of seven. Pizzas were excellent – just the right ratio of crispy thin base and delicious toppings. The service was spot on. Quite relaxed and easy-going, but attentive and efficient. We had a very enjoyable evening.
