Authentically down home country food at a reasonable price served by people who are friendly and helpful. You will be in danger of eating way too much fried stuff here. I had the fried pork tenderloin, deviled eggs, and butter beans.

Call before you go because I heard that at times they may not open based upon availability of workers.

Well I had high hopes but the food but missed by a country mile. I don’t want any one to waste their money or drive way out here for this food. My catfish was small and over priced with white beans that needed a little more seasoning. No collard greens they only have turnip. My peach cobbler was swim in juice and the atmosphere was the most Southern part about it to be honest.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile & was not disappointed! Candy is an awesome waitress, we were seated & served quickly, food was piping hot & delishhhhh!!! I loved the catfish filets, sweet potato, and fried green tomatoes were nice & thick, great taste. Ranch was good also, not sure if that’s house made or not. Fiancé had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, & fries and he loved them all. Sweet tea great also. Will definitely be back!

Some of the best food any of my group has had in a long time. (This is Grandma’s cooking and she’s been gone for a spell) Chicken Livers were great, the 2 bowls of Chicken and Dumplings were talked about the entire meal… Desserts are just another level! Great place if you are anywhere close

Absolutely the best southern home cooked food in the mid south! They have the best vegetables and entrees. I eat here regularly, and this is the first place I bring visitors. Everything is good here and reasonably priced. The best fried green tomatoes you can get – anywhere! And the best fried chicken fingers! The folks are wonderful here too! Worth the drive I promise!

A great local place with a friendly staff. The place is casual and southern sides change daily. Menu has a good variety of options. Many fried but was still good eats. Portion sizes are pretty large and looking at some other people’s plates some are worthy of a takeout box. Can’t ask for a more relaxed place to get a good bite of food. Have to again recognize the staff for their friendly nature. Would be great to see them change out the lighting to make the place brighter and more welcoming.

This place is slipping in quality and value for what you get. Hushpuppies were undercooked and still doughy on the inside. The portion sizes have shrunk over time to the point I can no longer justify the drive from Memphis in what I consider a “treat” from dealing with the daily grind of life. I take no delight in giving this negative review, as I believe the owners started this business with the best intentions and delivering on their dream.
