I got chicken tenders. Wasnt tender was luke warm they dry and chewy gravy was watery thin. French fries were chewy luke warm. Every thing was like it had been under heat lamp for a long time. Was my first and last time there.

My food was so good it was about a 15 minute wait but I’m not complaining when my food is hot and cooked perfectly. My only thing is the sweet young lady’s voice was really soft and I could not hear her. I asked for extra ranch and I got it I got 2 8 peace wing meal, and their fried pickles The pickles were fried to perfection. The chicken was crisp and cooked done. The sauce was perfect on it. The fries were a little soft, but they were still awesome and the bread was a little bit burnt, but it’s OK. I’d have to say I’m giving them five stars try this place out you may have to but it’s worth the wait.

Always ask for fresh fries, and almost never get it. Even after asking them to re-do the food, they give us the same if not worse food. As a regular customer(1-2 times a week), we have this issue sometimes but always with the blondes that work(for months already), probably the reason for the low ratings. If the owner wants specifics, respond back with a number please.

Sorry, I can’t eat there anymore and it is not because I don’t like the food. An organization I serve was hosted for a fundraiser in April 2025 and we worked to get about 50 people there. And Slim Chickens has never paid us the proceeds as agreed. I wouldn’t post this on Facebook but I have exhausted all attempts to get resolution through many many phone calls to multiple managers at the local sedalia store.

The only good worker was the young lady that helped me, the cooks messed up my order twice and the lady’s in the back where being rude as crap, they gave me one tiny tomato and one tiny piece of bacon, I have no clue why I would spend 40 dollars on three meals just for me to have to get them re made I will not be coming back here the food was absolutely awful and I had a made to order meal and it was cold, apparently it’s because someone was having a bad day, if that’s gonna impact the quality of the service and food maybe she shouldn’t have came in today. I wasted a whole hour there and 40 dollars, absolutely detestable!

The food was hot and fresh. Staff was very friendly. Very clean place. Restrooms were clean. Chicken strips were hot and juicy and I had gravy to dip them in. They have so many dipping sauces to choose from. I would go back.

Sometimes the wrong server is there so the food is not so good but overall good if you ask for fresh food.
(Update): Now even if we ask for something, they say ok, but then completely disregard all remarks you make and give you what they want . Asked them 3 separate times to make sure fries are fresh, and of course they are not.

I feel as though it was an off moment for the crew, I was 1of3 orders & they took our # away(to go) but as we waited for my meal it seemed the kitchen was overwhelmed with the large volleyball team that was before us & they were missing several items as well. When I inquired after waiting 10 addtl mins, they did not have my meal. It came out on the fly but wrong as the okra was in the box instead of a side box that I ordered. I went back to the counter that I had ordered the meal with a side of fried okra. The young lady asked if I still wanted the fries, I said yes, it was the okra that should have been the side. Rather than wait any longer or confuse any further I took my fries as the side.. Anyway, I’d try it again but maybe insure my order was accurate if I had more time but the manager was trying to get the kitchen under control & the food runner was very helpful and personable.
