I was working in the area and decided to run in here for a quick lunch. It was about 2:30 and I was the only one in the dining room.
My drink order was taken and chips & salsa were brought out right away. The chips are a thicker variety yellow corn. I prefer thinner chips. The salsa was typical of this area with a heavy canned tomato taste that is pretty non-descript. Ok, but not great.
I ordered Pollo something off the lunch menu. It was a grilled chicken breast that comes out on a sizzling skillet filled with bubbly cheese. I had asked them to put the included pico on the skillet but instead ended up without any pico. I could hear them discussing it in the kitchen and knew I was in trouble. My request was lost in translation. It came with a plate of rice, beans, and a salad with sour cream and guacamole. The dish was good but it wasn’t 8 oz of chicken that was described. For almost $15, I expect more meat.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will go back at some point and try another dish.

This place has excellent Mexican food. I was blown away with how good it tasted. Way outclasses the other places in Shreveport. It’s a small restaurant, but they have a lot of menu options. I highly recommend giving it a try. They also seemed to have a drive thru window to make it easy to pick up to go. Definitely plan on returning soon!

Food wasnt bad but it’s not Mexican it’s Tex mex…we were hoping this cute little hole in the wall would be authentic. Usually in this area the best Mexican food is the small hole in the wall restraunts. The price was too much for what you get. I can smother rice in cheese sauce at home. I was hoping for veggies and spice.

I am posting to document a serious food safety concern.
I ordered takeout and discovered a roach in my quesabirria after consuming part of the meal. I immediately stopped eating and saved the food as evidence.
What makes this even more alarming is that I almost served this food to my child.
I also have ulcerative colitis, which means I have a weakened immune system, making this type of contamination particularly dangerous.
This incident has been reported appropriately. I hope the restaurant takes immediate steps to address sanitation and protect customers.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! These guys are here to satisfy your craving for some Mexican food. Small quite spot near cross lake. Very friendly and prices are even better. Support These guys. Tell them Jordan sent you. We got ours to go but decided to eat and chat with the owner. God bless.

Very small. Service w could’ve been better. There was only one other table while we were there and the kitchen made one of our plates wrong. Server brought it to the table anyways. Food was expensive for what we got. No baby changing table in the bathroom.
