Visited around 3pm and placed an order for two Slim meals. We were greeted right away by multiple employees, which made for a warm first impression. The menu was easy to read, and the cashier was friendly and helpful.
The dining area is a bit small, but they’ve added an enclosed front porch space for cooler weather, which provides extra seating and a comfortable atmosphere.
Our meals were delivered quickly, and everything was fresh. The chicken was golden brown and moist, and the two included sauces make it easy to sample some of their variety—highly recommend the garlic Parmesan. They also have a large selection of beverages at the drink station.
We didn’t try dessert this time, but they offer desserts in a jar displayed near the cashier that looked tempting.
Overall, great experience and worth a visit!

I ordered 2 Slim’s Meals and 2 Chick’s Meals. My total came out to $70 including the tip. The tenders were sooo tiny. So if you’re gonna order after reading this, order big.
The fried mushrooms were soggy, so I’m not sure how fresh they actually were. Nothing was seasoned either. Not a spec of salt to be seen anywhere. The fried pickles were just ok. The Slim’s Sauce was gross. It tasted like tomato soup.
With the number of chicken places in Dothan, you need to be able to stand out and Slim Chickens doesn’t do that. You’re better off going to any of the other spots around town. You’ll spend less and the food will be better.

I decided to try this place out and needless to say overall I was disappointed. I ordered the four piece tender combo half grilled and half fried. The fried tenders were hot and fresh. Meanwhile, the grilled tenders were cold, season-less and tasted as though they had been sitting on the countertop without a covering. The fries were hot, but extremely salty. I had asked for spicy barbecue sauce, which was on my receipt, but ended up getting Korean barbecue sauce instead. The only good thing about this visit is that I was acknowledged as soon as I entered the store. I think that I will give them another try but not anytime soon.

Great atmosphere. I had the chicken sandwich with fries and she had the four-piece tender with fried mushrooms. The mushrooms are good. They’re a little bland. Chicken strips are overcooked and kind of hard and tiny but taste ight. The chicken sandwich tastes fine. Fries are good and Seasoned we waited 20 minutes in the Drive-Thru for our food and got a free banana pudding

So, my husband and I frequent Slim Chicken quite often. Today, we went there on our way home from my husband getting me from work, and I was already tired from work and just kind of in a hurry. Anyways, it ended up being an exceptional experience. They were faster than normal. Our food was hot and delicious. The drive thru worker, Haley, was extremely kind and helpful. She went above and beyond. Just an even greater experience than normal.

Man oh man. So chicken is the main ingredient. It’s the reason why the SEC has the biggest baddest players. Mama always fed em chicken fingers!!!! Lol. So this is the best chicken in dothan. It’s so melt in your mouth chicken. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and you know how waffles have that hard outer layer? Yea, none of that. They give you butter, gives house churned vibes……little more syrup for that huge waffle would have been great, but the house ranch is delicious, and plentiful. Went yesterday first time. Going back today for lunch or dinner, dunno, but man oh man, dothan go get you some slim chickens!!!!!! 15/10. Best fried bird in dothan, and there is alot of fried bird here, and it’s all good,but it gives, chic fil a, vibes with mixed with roscoe. It’s really really good!!!

The largest chicken tender plate they have came with less fries than a McDonald’s small fry. I was very disappointed with that. I mean 14 bucks for a plate of chicken and carbs, you’d expect some carbs. I genuinely got like 10 fries.
Issue 2: my extra sauce was missing. Not really a problem usually…but you charged me 40 cents for it. Least that could’ve been done was include my sauce.
The staff? Only redeeming quality. Great people.

While the service was quick and efficient, that was the highlight of the Slim Chicken experience. You’re supposed to visit a restaurant for the food, and that was a major disappointment. I got the 5 & 5 tenders and wings since I heard the tenders were on the smaller side, which they were. The size of my meal was good, but the flavor was missing. Would it hurt to add some salt or some other seasoning to the chicken or anything else? Their Slim Sauce is a total failure–it is tomato based and just has a weird flavor to it that just does not work with chicken. Thankfully they give you multiple sauces so I had honey mustard as a backup which was good. On the wings, I chose their Honey BBQ as that is my favorite wing sauce, and I love BBQ sauce in general. While the wings were good-sized, they lacked the real chicken flavor that you would ordinarily get at a wing place like BWW, and the Honey BBQ was so overpoweringly sweet that it is indescribable. It was almost like candied wings. For my side, I chose the fried mushrooms which was definitely a mistake. They were sandwiched in between the tenders and wings, so most of the mushrooms were coated in Honey BBQ sauce. Even the couple that weren’t were soggy with the breading barely clinging to them, and there weren’t but a total of 10 mushrooms to begin with. They are not worth the up-charge or the price as a standalone side. I ate it all since I was hungry, but I definitely will not be ordering that again if I ever visit Slim Chickens again since there are a dozen other chicken finger options in this town that are much better in taste and price.

Ordered a slim chicken salad from door dash, lettuce was not fresh. I called and spoke to the Ast. Manager he went above and beyond to fix my order with extra goodies and even brought it to me at work. Amazing service with an Amazing assistant Manager. Second salad was delicious.
