My first impression was this place is clean. I went to the bathroom to washy hands and had to be one of the cleanest fast food bathrooms I had ever been in and bonus, they actually have hot water in the sink. Next, the staff was warm and welcoming and answered any questions we had with a smile. Third, they have the good ice, the ice nuggets. So before I even tried the food, I was loving this place. And let me tell you they didn’t disappoint. Some of the best tenders I have had from a fast food place, plus they give you options for your side. I had the wrap and fried pickles and my daughter-in-law had the tenders and fries. Both of us were impressed and left happy that we gave it a try.

I recently visited Slim Chickens in Sema, NC, and overall, I had a decent experience. I ordered the 5-piece chicken tenders with fries and tried a couple of their different sauces. While the chicken was cooked well, I’d say the flavor was just okay—nothing that really stood out or made me feel like I’d have to come back right away for it. The fries were a bit more satisfying but still pretty standard for this type of fast food.
My friend ordered the chicken club sandwich, and they had a similar experience—again, it was okay, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. One highlight of the meal, though, was the Mason Jar Brownies with toffee. Those were definitely a treat! Sweet, rich, and a great way to finish off the meal. I also tried their lemonade, and it was refreshing, not overly sweet, which I appreciated.
The best part of the visit was probably the staff. Everyone was really nice, helpful, and seemed genuinely friendly, which made the visit pleasant despite the food being average. Overall, I wouldn’t rush back, but if you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite, Slim Chickens could be worth trying.

First time at this location, the food was phenomenal. Best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time. Their sandwiches are good also. Friendly staff, fast and efficient fresh food. We got chicken tenders and mac & cheese and one of those brownie desserts absolutely amazing if you haven’t been I would definitely recommend checking out this location. The wife even said she was impressed and would go back.

We first tried Slim Chickens a month ago. Then again tonight. The first time chicken tenders were moist and tender. This time they had some tough pieces and they were only about 3 inches long. The fries seemed like they had sat under the heat lamp a while. All of the food was better on the first visit. Variations in quality is normal depending on the crew working any particular day. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. We’ll try something else from the menu next time. Plan on filling your own soda after buying the cup and clearing your own table. They give you a number to set on your table then an employee brings your food to you. But they don’t check to see if you need anything after that. The plus side of that is you don’t have to leave a tip for your waitress. Since you don’t have a waitress.

New place in town. Gave it a try. Dined in. Very impressed by the quality of service. Greeted upon entry. Everyone was smiling and able to answer questions asked of them. Tables and floors were cleaned in between customers. The food was hot and fresh. I got the cayenne chicken sandwich combo. My friend got the three piece tenders combo. I added some sweet thai dipping sauce for my fries. The food arrived at the table at the same time we did. It was freshly prepared. The chicken wad crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Loved the bun and it stood up to the chicken. Fries were hot. Besides coke products, they had teas including flavored ones. They also had lemonade with fresh lemon slices in it. I was able to make a half-n-half. Good ice. Really wanted dessert but was too satisfied with the meal and did not want to overeat. Desserts were presented in mason jars. Blues music was playing as part of the theme. Nice outdoor seating.

The customer service was excellent! I got a to-go order from this restaurant recently, and for it being my first visit I was amazed! Miss Jordyn, the cashier who took my order was very helpful and extremely friendly! She was able to answer all the questions I had about the food items and was very pleasant about suggesting good choices for me to try. I was even convinced to buy one of their Banana Pudding dessert jars, which I did NOT regret! As for the food, I tried a Buffalo Tender Mac Bowl and it was mind blowing. Simply delicious! Definitely will be coming back!

We’ve visited Slim Chickens a few times now, and the customer service has been excellent from start to finish. Our first dine-in experience was great—the food arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. We’ve also used the drive-thru, which had a bit more of a wait, but given how busy they were, it was completely understandable. Overall, it was a great experience every time!

We are willing to drive that far to get good eats The Drive-Thru service/ customer service was not on point so we spent a more significant time waiting for order corrections that was not our fault. The manager under the did apologize and also comped us for part of our order.
I would love to have one of these right around the corner from my house in Durham, North Carolina

Yum…yum…yum. If you are looking for delicious chicken tenders, this is the place. Need something sweet? Their jar desserts are fantastic! You have to try the cherry cheesecake. You will not be disappointed. You get a cool jar too!
