Nothing beats the feeling of this small town adorable bakery! The ladies were so welcoming and kind. A small peek in the kitchen revealed an extremely clean environment with happy smiling bakers hard at work. I got a seasonal drink and treat which were a pure delight. I wish I lived closer by!

Absolutely PHENOMENAL bakery in beautiful downtown Palisade! The atmosphere was great, everyone was friendly and the service was 11/10. The breakfast burrito and avocado toast were very, very good. The honey bee latte’s could not have been any better. The peach raspberry coffee cake sweet roll was amazing and the lemon lavender scone was off the charts. We wish we could have tried even more and if we are ever in the area again, this will be the first place we go.

Slice O Life is the best!
1. The employees are so kind! The first time I ever went, there was a lady there who was so kind to me at the register. Xavier is amazing and very kind! He recommended the Australian bun? I think is what it was called and it made me cry tears of joy.
2. The tuna melt is outstanding!
3. Pb and J with banana is a throwback childhood dream!
4. The adorable quote on the wall is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
5. Just go and enjoy!

I’ve been going to this little bakery for most of my life. I haven’t ever had anything less than delicious food and wonderful service. I’m particularly fond of their fruit filled pastries! I attended a wedding 9+ years before I got married and I loved their cake so much I asked the bride where it was from and found out it was from Slice O Life. I tucked that in the back of my head and flash forward to 2021 when I got engaged to my now husband. He’s from Louisiana and had never had their cake. I brought home a small cake for us to sample together and he immediately thought it was as special as I did. We ended up doing 1/2 strawberry, 1/2 Mexican mocha and it was a hit with all our friends and family. If you haven’t been to this bakery or are considering having them make a cake for a wedding or event, I highly recommend them.

They were actually closed, but the door was unlocked..felt bad about walking in and not realizing that they closed at 3pm on Saturdays not 4pm like the weekdays. The guys in the back asked what we wanted and they made it for us anyways…how freaking awesome!! Thank you so much for letting us order even when you were closing up everything..I really do appreciate it!

Carmel Vanilla latte, strawberry cheese cake, and the fruit pastry. I would recommend getting a large coffee and not the “regular” (regular is a bit short of what I expected, that being said I think that the coffee was very strong, and had great robust flavor. It was not your regular super sweet like starbucks, but it’ll definitely wake ya up. next time I will need to up size my order)
Also they had these cute little seats in the corner for people/kids, thought that was kind of neat.

Awful Customer Service and experience, Shame Because the Food is nice
I rarely write reviews, but after my experience at this place, I feel compelled to share. We visited this cute little breakfast pastry shop twice in two days, and both times the customer service was absolutely terrible.
On our first visit, the two young girls working the front had a blatantly rude and demeaning attitude, especially toward a woman in front of us. It was uncomfortable to witness, and then did the same to us. We were hoping it was just a fluke or a bad day for them. But nope—our second visit was even worse. The same two girls were still there, and their behavior was just as rude, cold, dismissive, and unhelpful when we tried to place a simple order. And then did it to another customer after us!!!!
It’s honestly not hard to provide decent customer service (probably plenty of young people would love this job), but these girls acted like it was a chore to even speak to us and made it very obvious. It’s frustrating because the food is actually pretty good, and this little shop has such a cool vibe. But when you’re met with such a poor attitude multiple times, it completely ruins the experience.
We have a lot of friends/family here. Instead of recommending this place, I’d now advise people to avoid it.
