Slater’s Deli is a regular stop for us when we are in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
Last trip we got some Italian sub. This trip we had to get their famous Pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. Just AMAZING!
Mahalo Ralph for another great experience. Stay safe and see you next trip!

I was looking for a NJ deli that reminded me of my childhood when my mom used to get us buttered rolls and a newspaper before heading to the beach for the day. This was just the place! There was a friendly hard working gentleman inside. I’ve never had such a stacked breakfast sandwich before, it was unreal! Very delicious, the perfect breakfast on the beach. Definitely recommend the pork roll egg and cheese on a roll. Next time I come this way, I look forward to trying one of their subs.

The best place for a quick bite to eat! Had an amazing sub and breakfast sandwich, both packed with quality produce. The staff was beyond nice and heart warming. You can 100% tell this place is filled with love and puts good efforts into their food. 10/10

Legendary place. Still awesome after all these years. Took my sister from north jersey here for her first time and she loved it! I forgot how huge the breakfast sandwich was and Nate half for breakfast and later for dinner. Good selection of drinks and staff was nice and friendly. Keep up the great work!

Slater’s Deli in Leonardo, NJ, is a true gem! Their pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich is absolutely top-notch perfectly grilled pork roll, fluffy eggs, and just the right amount of melted cheese on a fresh, hearty roll. The balance of flavors is spot on, making it one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the classic deli atmosphere adds to the experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Slater’s is a must-visit for a great start to your day!

Another worth it hole in the wall kind of place. Love how they take good care of the sailors who come there. Prices are waaayyyy worth it than going to those popular sandwich shops. We ordered tuna sandwich to share between me and my husband, and we can’t even finish it in one sitting because they packed it with lots of stuff.

This place is the BEST in NJ for Taylor Ham (Pork Roll) Egg and Cheese sandwiches. The sandwiches are HUGE TOO!!!
Ralph and his Dad Ralph are great hosts and make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in.
Food is amazing and cooked fresh to order. There is a wait to get your food but it is well worth it.
Place is located inside a strip mall and has FREE parking right in front.
It’s right on the highway and is easily missed if you are driving too fast.
It’s located right past the Wawa.
Seriously- this place ROCKS!!!!

Terrible service awful. Went to go see the Army football at west point, by taking the sea stream ferry taht was scheduled to leave at 7:30. We had called at 6:30 AM to place our order and the order for all of our friends and other family. We get told it was gonna take 30-45 minutes for them to make our food. We arrive at the deli at 7:15, and turns out our order hasn’t even been started, and better yet there was not a single other person in that place. If it weren’t for ABC bagels, which is 1000x better with food and service, we would’ve been screwed out of breakfast.

Sitting here at the deli. It’s 6:35am. The website an all other information list the deli opening at 6:00am. The owner just pulled up next to me and told me that it’s going to be a while for him to get set up. I said to him that I thought you opened at 6:00 and he said rudely, not any more, we’re slow. He then just walked away and went into the deli. No type of apology or anything. When I spoke to him again, he just explained that he’s slow and he doesn’t hurry in any more. I mentioned that everything says he opens at 6:00am and his only response was “oh well, things change”. I wonder why he can’t figure out the reason for being slow. I guess one more thing that will change is my desire to patronize his establishment.
