Whenever you go on vacation, someone will tell you “you have to see this or eat here.” Well, this recommendation we got for Slappy Cakes was spot on! We were told that you get to make your own pancakes and the eggs are heavenly and the service will blow you away. Check, check and triple check! The service was excellent and the food was great and the entire experience will leave you wanting more and more. The wait was minimal but SO worth it. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot, please consider Slappy Cakes, you will not regret it. Enjoy!

Best breakfast experience! Kids LOVED creating their own pancakes…so did the adults, honestly! They have a great selection of add ins, so everything is customizable. There’s plenty of other items from the kitchen if you don’t want to make your own pancakes. I’d recommend the Banana Bread French toast. Everything was delicious, lovely atmosphere, and great service.

A unique breakfast experience where you have a chance to cook your own pancakes at you table that has a built in grill. Not a fancy restaurant but has a good atmosphere and friendly service. All the food selections we had from omelets to breakfast burritos were very tasty. Pancakes were fluffy and good. Bottomless coffee always being topped off. A fun place to enjoy breakfast and morning adult beverages if you like.

Such a great experience! We all got the “make your own pancakes” and it was really easy to figure out, tools and supplies came fast and we probably spent about an hour here! We even made a huge crepe at the end, lol. Overall, lots of options, pretty easy to figure out, staff were nice, and they had some dapper music choices!

This was a fun experience. At this restaurant you can make your own pancakes right there at the table. If you don’t want to do that, they do have other options on the menu.
Our server Coy (I hope that’s correct) gave exceptional service and I would definitely recommend everyone try this place at least once. It’s definitely fun for the family.

Love Love LOVE this place! The staff is awesome, it’s a fun place, but the food is FABULOUS!! Cinnamon roll pancakes! Portuguese sausage! You might think that cinnamon roll pancakes with cream cheese icing would be too sweet, but it melts in your mouth. Try not to drool! Then the Portuguese sausage, and they give you a pile of it, is Savory and delicious. All the while you have a fun stuff coming around checking on you not intruding but just being fun. Love love love this place!

Tables have a griddle built in to make your own pancakes. It was pretty fun. Pancakes were good. Toppings are a little pricey but its a good experience. We also ordered the chicken fried steak and enjoyed it! Fun place. Fast service.

Always enjoy Slappy Cakes. My wife had the shoot plate and I had cinnamon roll pancakes. Her meal was perfect while mine had a slight burnt taste. We also cooked our own buttermilk pancakes. It’s fun to make designs. Can get loud during breakfast. I want to go back and try the bar.

We ended up going to Slappy Cakes on a whim because we had passed by it at one point during our trip.
Turns out it’s a DIY pancake restaurant! Not only is that a really cool idea, but it was super good too! Not to mention reasonably priced.
The pancakes themselves were super yummy and making our own was super fun. My wife made cute designs, while I just made good pancakes. Overall it was our favorite part of the restaurant. The side were amazing too! If you go, try the breakfast potatoes! They are amazing!
