We drove all the way here and home and i was super excited because the one we tried in Hicksville was amazing, just to have something i couldn’t eat. How do you put mild on the top and then give me one of the spiciest ones?? I was super upset 🙁 And i could barely understand the cash register guy he needs to speak up. Only a two star because the fries were good and my bf did enjoy his.

One of the best Fried chicken spots the food was amazing we ordered the sliders they come in a fresh bun with a big piece on chicken inside loaded with flavors i give it 10/10. As we ordered the plates to waw waw waw that is a different story so much is going in there but all goes well together my favorite was the plate loaded with Mac & cheese. For the sauce perfect match with their fried chicken. And the most important the honey it gives the food a different twist and it hits different.
And for the desert we ordered there pudding
One of the best. Highly recommend.
And for there services there staff are welcoming and friendly and very helpful they gave is a great service.

I happened to come across this new spot in Selden, and I’m glad I did. Slappin Chick focuses on Nashville-style hot chicken and, best of all, it’s fully halal. They just opened recently with a soft launch, and they’ll be doing their grand opening soon.
I went with their #1 menu item, the sliders. I tried one in the “country” flavor (no spice) and another in a mild hot version. The chicken itself was really good—crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. The fries were also well-seasoned and tasty. Like most fried food, it’s definitely best eaten fresh at the restaurant, since it hits differently when it’s hot and just made. Still, even after bringing some home, the food held up pretty well.
The portions are generous, so you’re definitely getting value for your money. Hopefully, they keep up the consistency because that’s a big plus.
Service was excellent too. The young lady at the counter was polite, professional, and very helpful in explaining the menu. I didn’t catch her name since she didn’t have a nametag, but her friendly smile and quick service stood out.
The atmosphere inside is clean and modern, and it feels welcoming. I haven’t been to their other locations in Astoria or Hicksville, but it’s exciting to see them expanding and bringing another great halal option to the community.

Stopped by today and had one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a while. The cashier, Alex, was super polite and made sure my order was exactly right. He answered my questions without rushing me and kept a really positive attitude even though it was busy. My food came out hot and tasted amazing, honestly better than I expected. The whole place felt organized and well-run. Definitely coming back soon!

This place is amazing! Just went here today and tried it for the first time. The chicken was amazing and the sauces was too. There is a sweet sauce, definitely get the sweet sauce. It was literally heaven!! The service there was outstanding. The girl that works the counter was so sweet and very helpful. I will definitely be returning.

My friend and I were very excited to try this place and unfortunately it was a major let down. It seemed like the chicken was cooked and then they threw an excessive amount of dry rub on it after the fact. The mac and cheese bowl tasted like straight up mustard. Safe to say we were super disappointed and couldn’t even finish our meal. do not listen to tik tok!!!
