My family has been going here as early as I can remember. I love the owner and how she always takes time to ask me how my family is. The food is amazing but it’s the family like atmosphere that has always been there that keeps me coming back. I’ve raised my boys going back and all though we live out of town now we yearly make trips back to eat at Mays ❤️

We ate here last week hoping to satisfy our craving for Great! Chinese food. Didn’t happen. The food was less that flavorful, one side of my plate was cold while the other was blazing hot. Not sure how that happens. The service was fine. Not worthy of above a 10% tip. We enjoyed the atmosphere, laughed over our Chinese year of birth animal info on the placemat papers.

Cute little place. Quick and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, from the decor, to the workers chatting in Chinese in the back, to the country music that was playing at a volume that was perfect enough to hear the lyrics, but not too loud.
The egg flower soup was good, it had actual bits of processed chicken in it and water chestnuts, which I wasn’t expecting, but lent texture to the soup in a pretty good way. The pork low mein was really tasty, but might be on the saltier side for some. The fried shrimp had a super crispy batter on it, but the shrimp were very chewy from overcooking and not much flavor. The sweet and sour pork lacked any sour to it and the pork inside was extremely chewy, probably also due to overcooking. It was so sweet I had to stop after about 3 bites. I found it lacking overall, but I would try again with something a little different, that’s how nice the staff and place were. A+ customer service!

I live in Salem but if I’m in Corvallis I will make a point of eating here. The atmosphere is very nice and the b.ooths are comfortable. The dishes have a lot of flavor and are a very good size. The roast duck is some of the best I’ve ever had, I really like the egg foo young, and there’s plenty of meat in the special fried rice. This is the top notch Chinese restaurant and the prices are about the same as ordinary Chinese restaurants
