What a delicious surprise. Husband felt like a lobster roll, and Google returned this gem in my search. We split a bowl of the chowder to start, and it was phenomenal: perfectly seasoned with crispy bacon and chives on top. I did the fish and chips which were so good but because they put it on the plate straight from the fryer, it was pretty greasy on there. The fish was crispy and flaky and cooked beautifully. Couldn’t eat the fries because I was so full, but they were pretty good too. My husband did the lobster grinder, which had lobster, shrimp, and crab salad in a spicy mayo. It reminded me of a good sushi seafood mix with the spicy mayo-just delicious.

Excellent quick service seafood joint! It’s rare to find a spot to compare Slapfish to. I’ve tried their fish & chips, clam chowder, lobster cakes and power bowl! My favorite is the clam chowder – simple and tasty. The price of the food is also not as expensive as I would’ve assumed prior to going. The atmosphere is relaxed. You order up front, and they bring your order to you.

The food was excellent! This is a must try. The “surf and turf burger” had a lot of lobster on it, and the whole sandwich was very flavorful! It has a nice atmosphere. Friendly and quick service. You will likely spend $25-$35/person, but the food is excellent. Very good seafood for being in the Midwest!

Went to slapfish for devour Indy to try new things on their menu. We tried the taquitos and lobster dip as appetizers. The taquitos were phenomenal but I though the dip would be served warm. For the sandwich, we tried the Grinder which was also served cold. It like a traditional lobster roll served cold but I like my lobster served warm. The power bowl was delicious and very filling, would definitely try again!

We didn’t know what kind of seafood we should expect from Indianapolis, but Slapfish was so amazing that we went three times during our 10-day stay! The restaurant was bright, clean, and colorful. The person at the counter was friendly and brought our food to us quickly. The rolls were grilled perfectly on the outside and filled generously with some of the most fresh, tender seafood we’ve ever had! We ordered several different sides and apps, all of which were amazing. It’s a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!

During my work trip, I had the pleasure of visiting Slapfish, a seafood lover’s paradise. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. I decided to try their famous lobster roll, and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectations. The generous chunks of lobster were simply divine – juicy, flavorful, and downright tasty. The lobster practically melted in my mouth, especially when paired with the indulgent hot butter sauce.

Tried the Mass Ave location and it was delightful! The fish tacos are 3 to an order and amazing! The oyster bar at $1 each allowed me to enjoy 12! Yummy!

My experience here was great! I had the Lavender 75, Melted Crab dip, Traditional Crab Roll. My friend and I also split the Lobster Grinder. We wanted to try everything! The roll and the dip were our favorites! The grinder was really good too…it’s shredded meat with a little heat. The atmosphere is relaxed and hip…we had the lovely window seat, perfect for people watching. The service was nice as well. I will definitely visit again. My only small gripe about the place is parking…but it’s downtown Indy. That’s out of the restaurant’s control. I’ll probably uber next time.

First time eating here and it was a pleasant surprise. We tried 3 appetizers; Lobster Deviled Eggs, Melted Crab Dip & Chips, and Oysters Rockefeller. Everyone seemed to enjoy all of those. Then we had the Surf & Turf along with the Clobster Grilled Cheese. Both of those dishes tasted delicious. We would definitely come back to try more items on the menu!
