I stumbled across the SlaBo’s BBQ trailer in The Home Depot parking lot some Sunday afternoon during football season and was so thankful for it! I enjoy the deep smoky taste of the barbecue with some homemade sides and good dessert. The couple that owns the place are very nice and welcoming. I enjoy each interaction with them. It’s a hidden gem that’s only open on Sunday’s (for now).

Well, I’m very sad to be rating the food a 3/5. The owners are really nice, generous, helpful people. But the BBQ itself was just OK. The brisket was dry, the sausage was on the chewy side (beef only), the wheat bread on the sandwiches was way to thick, and the meat on the sandwiches was cut in pieces far to big to be eaten practically.
All in all, not bad. Just not enough moisture content or tenderness. I really like the owners and wish them success. I hope the food will improve a little.

The staff was very nice, we were even offered free drinks while we waited. It took about 10 minutes after we ordered to get our food(we were the only people there at the time).
We went around 6PM, so that could influence the food some. For 2 people, we spent around $60 and we just got 2 meals and no drinks. The portions were very large though, so we’ll have leftovers.
The sides we had were mac n-cheese, dirty rice and potato salad and they were all really good. I would say the sides were the best part.
The rest was decent. The BBQ sauce had good flavor, but the brisket and sausage were on the dry side for me. They weren’t dry, but typically brisket will fall apart, and be really juicy and this wasn’t. It was REALLY smokey. My wife asked for lean brisket(I did not) so I’m wondering if they just went lean for both. The brisket was tender(you could bite through it easily), but it wasn’t like falling apart tender. The sausage was decent, but nothing special for me. The cornbread was just okay.

Absolutely love this place. The BBQ is some of the best I’ve had. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and they even had a boudin special for the day that was really good. I’ve never had better beef ribs. The owners are lovely people and very friendly. The whole experience was very welcoming. I love SlaBo’s!

Hello everyone, my name is Robin and I wanted to share some information on this mouthwatering experience I had at Slabos BBQ. My husband and I got the beef ribs, sausage, and brisket. We also got the potato salad, green beans, boudin, and greens. The ribs were falling off the bone and tender. There was seasoning in every bite and their bbq sauce was heavenly. We drove a hour and it was worth it.

Some outstanding bbq and sides from 2 beautiful people. I found this place on accident after getting a massage nearby. I’m probably not going to drive 30 minutes to get a massage there again, but I will drive 30 minutes for the best bbq I’ve had in a long time.
