Perfect meal after a day of exploring Margate! Amazing food and excellent service. I sat outside in the sun but then it started to rain (at the same time) so I had an umbrella put up so I could finish my meal soaking up the end of summer without getting soggy.
I ate the loaded mac with king prawns and it was incredible – go here!

Found this place by sheer luck wandering around Margate looking for where to eat. My partner and I absolutely loved the food portions, very tasty food . We were happy to part with our money that’s for sure. Can’t really fault this place. Good value for money.

My 1st Nutroast of ’26 and wow.
Nutroast was full of flavour.
Accompanied with a lovely side of cauliflower cheese and mixed vegetables. And plenty of gravy.
Great food, good portions and good price.

Amazing food and fantastic service! We were very well looked after at this restaurant – servers were all so lovely to us and made us feel very comfortable. Food was delicious, very filling and came quickly. We came on a Friday lunch time, were seated immediately, sat outside at a socially distanced table. Would highly recommend a visit, their lobsters and steaks looked amazing..!

Staff was efficient and helpful. Food was presented well and very tasty. Would recommend a 2 course set, plenty of food for the price. Place was a little empty when we got there, but we were happy to find a place for 6 since we didn’t have reservations. The place filled up quickly after we sat down. They only had bottled beers which was a little disappointing but the wine selection was very nice.

Came to Margate for the day and popped into this restaurant and had the best dish ever!!! Didn’t expect it to be as nice as it was!! Crab Mac absolutely stunning! Friendly and welcoming staff, really can’t say anything negative about the place !! ❤️❤️❤️

A magnificent lunch at SLAB. Paul and Mel together are a powerhouse team. The food (Roast Beef & Veges ) and Burger was made and presented with perfection, care, wholesome and hearty.
Our dog, anxious and jumpy, was made to feel at home and delicious titbits given to her by Chef Paul himself. We ALL felt valued and loved and will certainly return every time we visit Margate. Cannot recommend enough!
