It has reopened, and has GREAT food. We drove for about an hour to eat here, and I gotta say…it was worth it. Service is 5 star, food is 5 star, the only reason for the 4 stars is because they still have some improvements to do. However it was only their 4th day open. With that being said, the place is on its way to being 5 star. Unfortunately.. I didn’t get all the pics of the food, because it looked so good, we all just said the blessing and started digging in. But I’ll definitely be back. There’s also a little store and hand room attached to the restaurant.
If your out that way…by all means, go eat!

The bathrooms are gross, disgusting, actually! No paper towels in either restroom. No soap in the men’s room. The men’s room had no toilet paper. The ladies room was just about out of toilet paper. There was trash on the floors, like wet toilet paper and just plain filth.There was poop on the seat in the lady’s bathroom. Like somebody said in another post, a last resort bathroom, never again! Also, my husband questioned the amount of gas he actually got because it didn’t seem to add up correctly. We’ve learned our lesson. We will not stop there again!

I was in there yesterday and saw a couple stranded with a flat, I go in a see them trying to make a call with the store phone (given there is no service out here) and the owner screams at the top of his lungs at them that they aren’t able to use it. The guy offered him 20 dollars to use it and the OWNER CONTINUED TO SCREAM AT THEM. I left and got service and let them use my phone to call a tow truck. I pray if I ever get stranded it isn’t here! Terrible ownership!! 0/5 people.

We always love eating at Slab Cafe! We don’t live close enough to go often but stop by every chance we get. Their breakfast is terrific! Good southern cooking and some of the friendliest people…they make you feel at home.
