I have been visiting Oglebay for years. The recent upgrades to the dining has been long overdue and honestly delivered. 5 paws up on late night pizza and drinks from Apollo! The staff made our stay extremely enjoyable and made up for the bad weather we had.

We visited on 12/28 and by 3 pm all tables were booked until 8:30 pm, except for a few hightops. This was fine as we were seated right away but had to change our plans a little in order to eat earlier than later. It took a bit for a server to come take our order, but the food arrived in a timely manner. Had the chicken tortilla soup, which was lukewarm at best, the Mediterranean wrap which was ok, and fries which were cold and chewy. Husband had a nice salad and the short ribs sandwich. He said they were OK. The restaurant wasn’t busy yet so not sure why the food was cold. Then we had to wait awhile for the check. The atmosphere was nice, but the food and service was a little meh.

It’s hard to give this place an appropriate amount of stars. Carlos filled our waters very quickly and was friendly engaging. The woman taking our order was pleasant and friendly. We were able to be seated quickly at 7:30 on a Friday night during the lights festival. There is plenty of parking.
That’s where the food ends. It was $10 for a kids meal that does not include a drink and about $18 and up (most over $22) for an adult meal. What I expected for a hotel restaurant. It took over 45 minutes to get our food once we ordered. I had three hungry and grumpy teenagers who wanted to walk out and find fast food. They never checked on us to update our order status or brought us bread or crackers or anything to make the wait more tolerable. The next time we saw our server it was to bring our food. I was trying to get her attention to cancel our order so we could leave. I expected hot food that was delicious after such a long wait. It was obvious it had been sitting under a warming station waiting. The bowls and plates were hot but the food was lukewarm at best and dried out. The kids didn’t even eat most of their food because it was so dried out and there were large bones in the chicken pot pie. Overall the atmosphere is beautiful and the people working are great. But the quality for what we paid was just not even close. I’m glad we tried it but won’t be back.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and had an excellent experience. Matt was a wonderful server and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the salmon and short rib. We will definitely returning soon.

My grandson and I visited skyline restaurant before driving through the lights. Our service was exceptional. The girls at the hostess station were friendly and engaging. As soon as we were seated, Gerson came to give us water. My 4 year old grandson was not patient and wanted lemonade. Gerson ran to get him a kiddy cup of lemonade immediately. As soon as he left, our waitress Deb came over to get our orders. She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the food and the park as a whole. She was quick and attentive. It was busy there yet Deb made us feel as if we were her only priority. While our food was delicious, the staff there is what made our experience amazing. I highly recommend taking the family to skyline then a visit to Hickman lounge for cocoa and entertainment before driving through the lights.

We had a great time eating her for lunch one day and dinner the next. The tin can nachos were plenty for our party of 6. The tiramisu martini was delicious. The view was amazing. The service was great. Prices are as expected I feel. There are cheaper options and expensive ones. You can eat here with a family of 4 for a decent price.

We ate here less than 2 weeks ago. We had the fish and chips. It was amazing. So we decided to stop in again today and it was not the same. The fries were McDonalds quality and the peices of fish were so much smaller, and the price remained the same. Your customers notice changes. We came back because we liked it so much the first time,and I can’t say I would return. Leave the quality of the food alone. Don’t fix something that isn’t broke. The fish and chips on our first visit was great

Got the lodge breakfast. Eggs were cold. Potatoes were good. Orange juice was watered down. Also got the croque madame sandwich. The sandwich was alright. The fried eggs were a tad cold. Got a side of bacon which was burnt. Overall only impressed with the potatoes. Not worth the price.

We went to the Oglebay Pool for the day to escape the heat. About 5:30, we got drinks at the Skyline Kitchen and Bar. We took them out on the porch an watched from above the people going in an out of the lobby. We got hungry and went back to Skyline Kitchen and Bar for dinner. We shared an order of pepperoni rolls. Try them with ranch, delicious. Then my wife got the Eggplant Parmesean Tower and I got the salmon. Two great dishes. For dessert we got the Mint Chocolate Cake. It was a chocolate tart with mint throughout. It was a flantasic finish. Special thanks to our server, CeCe, and the manager, Cat. They made it a great experience.
