We had the most amazing and flavorful Szechuan style sliced pork belly. The Chinese bacon with cauliflower was also fabulous. Even though this sounds random, the fried rice cake with brown sugar is my personal favorite. The sweet rice dumplings were also good. You should give it a try. You probably won’t regret it.

This place feels genuinely Sichuan the moment we walk in—bold aromas and unapologetic spice.
The standout is the hot & spicy shredded beef with radish, a dish I haven’t found anywhere else.
The beef is tender and packed with chili heat, while the crisp radish balances it perfectly.
It’s spicy, fragrant, and layered rather than overwhelming.
If you’re craving real Sichuan flavors, this spot delivers.

Some of the most authentic Sichuan food I’ve had in NYC (and I love Sichuan food and eat it maybe too much lol). The 辣子鸡 (dry fried chicken with peppers) and mapo tofu is the best I’ve had in Manhattan. This place is more of an old school/traditional spot. The location definitely surprised me as it’s right by Port Authority but it’s a real hidden gem. No frills, no fuss but the food does not play around. Cabbage with pork was very good, perfect flavors. And the mapo tofu had a great numbing flavor – that’s how you know it’s legit. I think a lot of Sichuan restaurants tone down the mala, but this place doesn’t shy away from the numbing spice which I love.

Sky Pavilion is a great spot for authentic Chinese comfort food.
I ordered a braised beef dish with rice, and it was rich, flavorful, and very well balanced — the beef was tender and the sauce was perfect with rice. Portions were generous and everything tasted freshly made.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt warm and casual, great for both quick meals and sitting down with friends.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for real Chinese flavors. Will definitely come back.

I had a great dining experience at Sky Pavilion 川雲涧. The restaurant is clean, modern, and has a more refined atmosphere compared to typical Chinese spots.
The dishes we ordered were all very solid — authentic flavors, well-balanced seasoning, and not overly oily or salty. Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly.
A nice highlight was the complimentary dessert we received — it was beautifully presented, light, and not too sweet, which made a perfect ending to the meal.
Overall, it’s a place I’d happily come back to, especially for a nicer Sichuan dining experience with friends.

An authentic Sichuan restaurant. You will think it’s a tourist trap since it’s located next to the port authority but this restaurant is very authentic. We came here with a group of 6 ppl. We had reservations and were seated quickly. All the food was delicious. The loofah and string beans were my favorite. The food presentation was beautiful. The duck with glutinous rice was flavorful. The millet spare ribs were interesting but good. The only negativity is the restaurant is too loud.

We came here to have a Friendsgiving, some of which are from Sichuan, the home town of the spicy food. They said all the dishes are very authentic and delicious. the chef even came to talk to us and made sure we like the flavor. He has been cooking for 49 years! Absolutely a rare find in NYC! The staff are very friendly too.

Just had quite a feast at Sky Pavilion! The vegetable and tofu dishes are prepared flavorfully and imaginatively; try the pumpkin and ginger dish, and the shredded potato and pepper! The staff were also very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place and would come here again.
