The family that runs it (and we SO thank them for not closing when others did) tries so hard to keep up. But when nearly everything is deep-fried, a place tends to have a fine film of oil/grease on everything. It needs to close one day a week just for deep cleaning. Also, the women’s rest room looks okay, but a strong odor of sewer gas isn’t too appealing. As I said, though, we thank them for being there when we get the craving for Skipper’s Chowder. Our favorite canned chowder!
