This restaurant has an excellent vibe – especially on the back deck seating. The food is typical dock restaurant food – it’s acceptable. But the views are glorious. It’s one of our favorite places to go with friends to unwind and take in the natural beauty. I took the photo from my table – gorgeous sunset. Service is excellent.

We came for the 5 course wine dinner yesterday night. The food was phenomenal, the wine pairings were good, and great service. They came out between every course to explain the food and wine. It was just an all around pleasant experience. I can’t wait to hear about another event in the future.

This place has potential to be great.. I’ll start there! Food is great when made correctly.

My first visit (August), I’d give 2.5 stars. Zach was our server and was great! From the pictures, you can see all that was ordered. I loved the crab dip with the pretzel bread and the crab crusted oysters. I also ordered the dynamic duo which to my disappointment came out cold. It wasn’t even lukewarm. The whiskey sirloin was cool too. The grapefruit crush was yummy. Just has a lot of pulp.

My second visit was much better in October. I ended up getting the rockfish which was delicious! My soup was piping out. And the raw oysters were fresh.

Cozy vibe in there and they also have outdoor seating for nice days.

We had crab dip, crab creamy soup, and the thing we came here for – crabs themselves.

The soup and the dip were OK – a bit too much cream and too much of salt to my taste. Crabs were good if you like fiddling with them of course. .

This is more of a fish&chips style of place, with relatively high prices. Plastic glasses didn’t contribute to the atmosphere.

I’ve visited Skippers many, many times but I am not someone who typically leaves reviews. I attended their recent wine pairing dinner and it was fabulous! From the presentation, to the food, to the service and the wine.. I enjoyed every minute! Dave and Jessica always take the time to visit with their customers and they always make you feel welcome. I left the event knowing that I will be back for the next one, if not sooner.

Hunny Be!
Hello Hunny Bees!! It’s your girl Hunny back with a review of another local small business.

We made reservations for Valentine’s Day due the holiday it was packed up so parking was a little tricky but we made it work by creating our own parking spot. Upon entering we were immediately greeted. Although we had a reservation they had no tables available so we opted to sit anywhere which was by a door that they kept going in out so it made it extremely cold. Our server was warm and apologetic. The service was super slow. We order their Valentine’s Day special for 2 and our son ordered a burger. The food was okay nothing to write about. I ordered the oysters they were dried out and had no flavor. I got the busso my noodles were overcooked and sticky, my spouse got the filet and lobster we requested our champagne with our meal but they didn’t bring it until our meal was almost done. The filet was not done we requested well done. The appetizers took 45 minutes to come out our meal took an hour and a half to come out. Needless to say we were just ready to go. My son got a cheesecake to go and it looked like they forgot to cut a piece it was so small for $12! We are feeling indifferent about this place. We plan to give them another try during crab season on like a Wednesday hopefully it will be a better experience.

Stay tuned we will update this review in the summer!

Great, busy spot right on the water. Parking is tough when busy, but not impossible. Hostess seemed overwhelmed, but still found us a table outside quickly, so still a win. (was a beautiful Friday evening, so to be expected). Menu was way better than expected for a “dock bar” style place. Drinks were great, food was good – just a few minor tweaks away from also being great.
But bottom line is that it’s a replace on the water with a fun vibe, great views, creative menu, all the drink options you could want, and good eats. First time for us and our group unanimously agreed we need to come back asap! Happy Hour loading…

Skipper’s Pier Restaurant & Dock Bar was a great dinner stop for our group of 10. We loved the on the water experience, surrounded by boats, seabirds, and the shins of the marina. The simpler of the restaurant was how I pictured a Maryland dining experience. Our server was friendly and timely. Our food came out quickly and we all enjoyed our meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Really enjoyed dinner at Skipper’s. The location is really unbeatable, right on the water surrounded by boats. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly, the band was really good, and we had a nice meal. My only complaint would be somewhat smaller serving sizes than you can find at other similar places around the bay – but that’s a minor issue as the quality is very good.

We sat outside and made reservations 2 weeks in advance because it was Father’s Day. I really enjoyed being close to the water and listening to live music. We started with the Tuna Tsunami, the calamari, and the ceviche. I liked all but the ceviche. The mandarin orange wasn’t what I expected. I had the scallops, which were amazing. My family had soft shell crabs, snow crab legs, and steak topped with shrimp and crab meat. I think they were all satisfied. I saw a lot of people ordering steamed crabs. My next visit will be for those.
