Crabs were nice hot and heavy, calamari was really good I definitely recommend it. Steamed shrimp were nice and fresh. Andy was a pleasure very attentive and very nice. Drinks were definitely on point and delicious.

I recently dined at Skipjack and overall, the food was absolutely impeccable. Every dish was well-prepared and flavorful. The drinks were also very strong (in a good way!), and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained — all very important factors for me.
My chief complaint, however, would be the customer service and overall wait time. I arrived a little after 8 PM and didn’t close my bill until after 10 PM — after the restaurant had already closed. I waited nearly an hour just to place my order and about 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The delays definitely took away from the experience, especially since I came in very hungry.
That said, I did speak with a manager, and she was understanding and provided compensatory measures to help ease the disappointment, which I appreciated.
I would certainly return because the food and drinks were worth it — but next time, I won’t come quite as hungry.

Went here with family, super excited as this place has good reviews. It’s simply Over rated. The food was meh. We arrived when they were not very busy. The service was mediocre, not very friendly, ran out of beverages, she was pretty inattentive. The skin on the fish was quite dark in color and felt durable…. Downright tough. I wondered how many times it had been cooked. The coleslaw- Maybe the intention was this is a garnish? The slaw didn’t taste good at all. The portion was very small. It was served in a 1 ounce sauce container. My wife’s crabcake was yellow. All the food was served cold. All in all the visit was disappointing. I would not choose this restaurant again. I do not recommend Skipjacks Crab Deck.

Skip Jack’s has become my go-to stop this year whenever I’m in Middle River. I’m an out-of-stater who likes to spend time at the little beach nearby, and this is the perfect place to grab a small bite and a refreshing drink on the way home. Their orange crushes are amazing, super fresh and flavorful. My kids loved the sampler appetizer, especially the mozzarella moons. I always go for the steamed shrimp seasoned with Old Bay and it’s absolutely delicious. They had live music during our visit which made the whole atmosphere even better. If you find yourself in Middle River, Maryland, I highly recommend stopping by Skip Jack’s.

Food was delicious! We got wraps but you could smells the amazing aroma of their crabs. We are definitely going to try them next time. They had a live band going that was great. It did seem confusing – as I think there is another part of the restaurant.. We went up deck stairs because we saw people up there but when leaving saw the bottom door looked like a restaurant too. Then on another day I saw they have a liquor store at the bottom. I stopped in on a Sunday and had a very helpful cashier. I look forward to future experiences here.

The biggest crabs I’ve ever had, they were super sized!!! The server was a local and was extremely good at her job. The restaurant and management on the other hand was non existent. There was an issue with one of the burgers not coming out and no manager. Here’s the big one, a member of our group decided to play the slot machine by the bar and walked straight up to it after exiting the bathroom. So they never had an opportunity to see the “sign” on the side. There was a typed sign, in probably size 24 font, on the back left side of the machine. It was obviously tucked away for a reason as our friend found out that the machine will take large bills, but it pays nothing. Absolutely nothing, not cash back, not credit towards your meal, not a tshirt or even a stuffed teddy. It pays nothing. My friend did not find this out until after he had already put $160 in the machine and a friend came up from the side and noticed the small sign. The machine prints this small receipt and the bartender tells you it is good for absolutely nothing! You can’t even put the money back on the slot machine to continue paying. So here is another $60 ticket that is only good for, NOTHING!!! Bill was over $400 for 6 people! Cream of crab soup had no crab in it.

One of the best decisions we made this week. Deciding to go to Skipjacks after being turned away by another local restaurant who was not willing to honor their restaurant week special because they had other specials running at that time even though publicly advertised the special. 2 out of the 4 of us started off with the french onion soup, oh MY so GOOD! I had the salmon sandwich with the brussel sprouts, one of us had the shrimp salad (which was just made yum yum good) a cheese burger and the Baltimore Club (if I remembered the name correctly) all of which was good. The staff was happy to serve us, they even stepped in and helped each other if we needed something and the other one was busy. They were setting up for an upcoming cake decorating event in the dining room, which turned out so nice. The pricing was fair, I even had leftovers and the Strawberry Martini as dessert was the best martini I have ever had. SHOUTING OUT the largest THANK YOU I CAN to the restaurant who turned us away. You just helped us find one of our new favorite spots.

Me and a friend went here to have crabs we made a reservations and pre ordered XL crabs. The top deck was cool the vibe was chill. There was a live band playing when we went. While we waited for crabs we ordered the sampler (wings,tenders, mozzarella moons.) the sampler was pretty good. However, we ordered honey old bay wings they brought out some sort of habanero wings. Not a big deal because we didn’t wanna wait for an exchange. The crabs still took about an hour even though we pre ordered. The crabs were huge and came out piping hot which is a plus but man did they lack in flavor like I’ve never in my life had crabs so bland. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu but the crabs are a huge no for me

We went on a Sunday and they had a live 2-man band, they were really good and made it a fun atmosphere. We sat on the deck, which was nice (it’s not on the water tho fyi). The steamed crabs were yummy. We also had rockfish fingers, cream of crab soup, and crab dip. The soup didn’t have enough crab, I feel, and the dip and fish were decent but not amazing.
The prices seemed fair. Staffbwere friendly and attentive. Overall, I would go again for steamed crabs.
