It all began on January 27, 1958. With $50 in the cash register, Del and Helen Johnson opened “Sizzler Family Steak House” in in Culver City, California. This was the place where everyone could enjoy a great steak dinner at an affordable price. Today, we strive to serve the best hand-cut steaks at the most affordable price for the whole family with the addition of a broad, all-American menu and an abundance of fresh and healthy options. Sizzler is the restaurant where America comes to satisfy its appetite with U.S.D.A. Choice steaks cut fresh daily and cooked over an open flame, fresh seafood, and premium craft soup and salads prepared fresh daily.
Longtime casual restaurant known for its steak, burgers & seafood, plus a salad bar.

The staff out on the floor to the people helping the tables are honestly super nice I just wanted to start there. Very kind people lovely smiles! The food however. I can feel the kitchen being super depressed I can tell the people who work back there were over it. This food sucked . We asked for medium-well twice and got Well done both times so we gave up asking. The broccoli looked like the like was sucked out of it and it was honestly disappointing. We paid 75$ for the salad bar, all you can eat stake and shrimp and honestly we could of just made this at home for cheaper .. I’m really really disappointed and if I could have gotten a full refund I would have asked. I will probably never go to sizzlers again honestly.. this was my first time here and most likely my last. Also whoever is in charge of the sign out front.. it needs to be re painted. Again, staff very friendly !! Food sucked!

What an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty and the staff was incredibly nice. There is a menu posted on the wall as you walk in the door, which you can choose from several items like steaks, hamburger etc, then add the all you can eat salad, warm items, and dessert bar. Or just get the all you can eat. The salad bar is by far enough food with out having any of the menu items extra. Soup, pasta, Mexican food and about 10 pre made salads along with a pretty substantial salad bar.

Food was good. Was pretty dirty. Was pretty shocked to find a receipt under my shrimp. We had a great waitress.
Another waitress was constantly eating. Seriously.
Preparing the food and eating it. Touching her mouth and then the food. It was the one that had her hair waxed to her head and a bun. Huge fake eyelashes. A tattoo sleeve on her right arm and tattoos on her chest. A gold chain and ring hanging from her nose. When I got up to get ice cream, more waitresses-not ours-were with this one I mentioned previously eating behind the sewing machine.
Seriously, if you have time to stand there and eat, you have time to wipe down the dirty counters or vacuum the floor. I can’t see this location staying in business too much longer. It’s too expensive even with a coupon.

Steak and all you can eat shrimp is my favorite. I usually love the Steak and shrimp, but my last visit the shrimp was darker than usual and really greasy. Any restaurant’s success or failure depends completely on the cook. If I were at home, I would have thrown it in the trash and started over. The Steak and baked potato were fine, but almost $20.00 for steak and all you can eat shrimp was disappointing to me. When we walked in at a non busy time of 4pm, I overheard a server saying to the cooks that she had asked for something 15 minutes ago and not received it. Usually that may have made me leave, but this dinner was with a granddaughter as her treat to us and I didn’t want to cause a scene

Alright, I went in here with low expectations. I hadn’t heard very good things, but figured we’d still give it a try.
We brought our family of 6 here for dinner. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant smelled (and not in a good way). As we made our way towards the cashier, the stench was getting worse. We realized it was coming from the bathroom which was right by where we had to stand to read the menu. It wasn’t pleasant.
We reached the person as the register and she proceeded to ask what we wanted. She didn’t seem very kind at all. At one point she looked directly at my boyfriend and said (with her fingers pointed at him) “I’m talking to you…I’m specifically talking to you.” I couldn’t believe her tone, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and we continued ordering.
Once we were done and went to our table, we met our waitress. She was the sweetest person! She made sure our drinks were always filled and brought us plates and plates of shrimp. She was all smiles and super sweet, even when the people at the table next to us weren’t very nice (and grossly under tipped her).
I got the steak and all you could eat shrimp. The shrimp was delicious and the steak was okay. I had the thickest piece (lucky me!), but it definitely was not medium rare. I think they cook all the steaks the same regardless of what you request.
Our daughter got the mega bacon cheeseburger and it looked delicious! I want to get THAT next time. She was super happy with it and it was extremely filling.
Our son ordered the salad bar and was pretty happy with the options. I was eyeballing the Navajo tacos at the salad bar.
I didn’t realize we needed cash for the tip (which explains why the lady at the register asked if we wanted cash back). Since she wasn’t pleasant our first time around, I was weary to go talk to her again. To my surprise she was very pleasant and helped me get cash to tip the waitress.
I’m not sure if we’ll be back.

Went on a date with my 5 year old to Sizzler today. We both loved it! The Salad bar never disappoints! Although my little guy had his heart set on pizza and they didn’t have any, he decided cantaloupe was a great substitute! Our server was great. She checked on us often and made sure we had everything, all the employees we walked near smiled and said hi, the Manager checked on us several times and swapped kid stories with my son. Our server gave us Halloween coupons to come back! All in all, great food, great service, great cleanliness and a great atmosphere! We’ll be back!

Sadly there is just no reason to go here. ChuckORama and Golden Corral just plain do this better for equal or less money. Salad bar items are blah, fish and chips was ok, but more like fast food level, in fact Culvers fish and chips is better.

I believe they bring the beef from Argentina on top of a donkey, pulled by a Spaniard that takes naps at 2:00pm. Because it’s soooooo ridiculously expensive, flavorless, tiny, undercooked and visually unappealing.
Service was ok, the server came, dropped stuff, walked away, came back, dropped bread, walked away. No interaction & no greeting. No care in the world. Just brought what was needed and disappeared.
It was very disappointing. Not coming back.

Had a great dinner tonight and our server Richelle was nice. She was very friendly, took on extra tables to help out, was running from one table to the next filling drinks, clearing dishes and asking people if they needed anything. We felt so bad for her because people at other tables were rude to her, complained, and left no tips. One of her tables left a pile of change, and then the last person to leave the table scooped all the change off and took it! We handed her our tip personally to make sure she got it. The cashier could have been friendlier, but the food is what you expect for the price. Our only complaint was the other customers! Be nice people, servers are trying to make a living. Don’t complain so you can try to get free food wherever you go. Karma is real! Oh, and the food delivery person saw that there weren’t many fries on my son’s plate so she brought him a whole plate of extras! Yummy rolls too.
