This is the best Indian food I’ve tasted so far in Nova Scotia! And I’ve tried a lot!
We had the Shahi Paneer, Chicken Murgh Lababdaar, garlic naan, pilau rice and vegetable pakora to start.
The pakora was amazing, not greasy or heavy, and the accompanying sauces were good.
The chicken was a little grissly, but the paneer was divine. The naan was absolutely delicious and the rice done to perfection.
The reasons for not getting 5 stars – on entering, we were given a choice of tables, most of which were still dirty! The waiter was on his own and there was a steady flow of customers so he may not have had time to clean.
The cutlery and crockery were terrible! I was given a dessert fork, which was very cheap looking and had a metallic taste, a spoon and a plastic plate, which was in stark contrast to the pretty, dimpled metal serving bowls. (All false economy and makes you wonder what shortcuts they may also be taking in the kitchen!)
The food came very quickly after being slow to get a menu. The waiter was very polite and pleasant, the food resonably priced and even though we only ordered half portions we still had leftovers!
If you’re looking for some great Indian food and can see past the shortfalls (I might bring my own cutlery next time) then definitely try this new restaurant in Truro you won’t be disappointed on taste at least.

Went to the new location on Prince street for the first time. Food was amazing as usual. Service was also great. Lots of gluten free options as well. Tried the butter chicken, chicken Tikka,chole bhature, amritsari kulcha, lamb bhuna, besan chilla.

Happy to have found this place. Amazing garlic Naan and Masala Chai drink. Love the half portion option of the curries so you can try more. 3 half portions of curry, 1 full portion of rice and 1 garlic naan order was plenty for 2 people. The lamb Rogan Josh had great flavor and fall off the bone tender lamb. Unfortunately all the dishes were too salty and that overpowered the excellent flavours that I could tell were there. I did pass that along to staff (as did another table) so hopefully that will be adjusted. The butter chicken had good flavour but had very few pieces of actual chicken and it was thigh meat where I typically prefer breast meat for that dish. The Aloo Gobi was great. We will be back to try more!

Husband and I went for the first time. The service was excellent. The food was fresh, delicious and spicy! The prices were fair. We were full!! Authentic homemade Indian food. Will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The staff there are really hard working, fast, and friendly. Every dish I have tried there has been great. I like that there are a small, manageable amount of tables but also lots of room and a cozy atmosphere.
