Six Tampa at the JW Marriott offers great service, a solid atmosphere, and an excellent view of the river. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the setting really is the highlight.
The food was good, but nothing particularly memorable given the price point. A burger, appetizer, and shrimp tacos came out to nearly $100, which felt steep for what was delivered.
Overall, it’s a nice spot for drinks, views, and ambiance, but if you’re going primarily for the food, the value doesn’t quite match the cost. Worth visiting once for the experience, just not somewhere I’d go regularly for lunch unless it’s convenience staying at the JW.

We ordered the burger which was excellent but the Cesar salad with add salmon was not great. Atmosphere is cool with wrap around windows & ate dinner near sunset. Service is excellent & super friendly.

Our Galentine’s Day dinner at The Six was truly a memorable experience! Nestled on the rooftop of the Marriott on the sixth floor, the location offered stunning views, even though it was a bit chilly. The atmosphere was lovely and perfect for celebrating with the ladies.
The food was flavorful and the portions were quite satisfying. While the drinks were somewhat limited, they were still enjoyable and complemented the meal nicely.
One notable aspect of our visit was the service. Our server was friendly and professional but did repeatedly mention the check-splitting policy, which felt a bit redundant since we were all aware of it. It was interesting to note that this wasn’t the case with another group of similar size.
Overall, The Six provided a great experience, and we enjoyed celebrating our Galentine’s Day in style.

Very nice bar and restaurant that offers indoor as well outdoor seating. It’s not on a rooftop but does offer a view of the river by the hospital, which can be a great spot to catch the sunset depending on the time of year. As a Tampa local, this place is very expensive. The menu is very limited, but the cocktails are almost $20 a drink. It’s definitely because it’s at a hotel, but the atmosphere makes up for it. The food was good, especially the grouper, but my chicken dish was a little underwhelming for the cost. It was on the bone and just covered in BBQ sauce. I had to work so hard to eat my meal without making a mess of myself, and that shouldn’t happen for the price I’m paying. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, but it was on a slower Friday around 6pm. The star of the show was the meatballs. I could have had 2 plates of that as my main course they were so good!

The atmosphere and decor was really nice. Food was very expensive and overpriced for the portions and it’s also a little evident that if you come with a bigger party it seems you aren’t granted excellent service from your waiter being that the gratuity comes either way. I’d rate the restaurant “ok” it is more so for the aesthetic than anything.

Party of 8 but I will only speak about myself. I did not hear any complaints from anyone and I did not complain to them about my experience. There were 2 decent appetizers: the meatballs and garlic bread and 2 not very good ones: the grits and PB&J. A really really bad ribeye. Terrible cut, super thin and way over cooked. The poor plate presentation told me right away that I was probably in trouble. I have accidently ruined steaks at home that were better. The side potatoes and asparagus were nice however. The desert: chocolate mousse was just not good. I think that is one that is hard to mess up but I did not like it. Service was pleasant and mostly attentive. The water glass sat empty the entire second half of the meal. Service was good enough but not memorable. The views were nice but we ate inside. Overall it was just a very mid experience that I hope to never repeat.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner for 2. Not up to JW Marriott standards! This is a fairly new hotel and restaurant but as we were being seated indoors, the hostess led us to a table that had a gaping large hole in the seat back of the chair they sat my wife in. All the seat cushions were stained and filthy looking. The restaurant was almost empty and she didn’t offer to switch chairs. The price for 2 without cocktails was $225 before tip and there was no tablecloths or placemats! They set the silverware down on the table directly. At one point during the meal, my wife dropped her napkin on the floor. A Manager was there and picked it up and asked my wife if she would like a new one! We had the crab-cake appetizer and for sure they’re better at Carrabba’s. Too salty and tasted like the meat came from a can. We’ll never go back. Normally JW Marriott’s around the world offer the epitome of exceptional quality and service. This made this them look bad. We still tipped well and our server was kind and did a good job,

Great food, good view. Watched the sunset with great seafood dishes. Our server, Anthony, made the experience with his positivity and knowledge on the food.

The best hamburger and fries we’ve ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked and so juicy, full of flavor. The fries were fresh and crunchy. Crab cakes were delicious. Very friendly staff. I’ll definitely come here again.

Despite bad reviews I wanted to go here for the views. At first there was no hosts at the stand and we almost left due to waiting for a while. Glad we didn’t. The food was fantastic. Anthony was a great server. He recommended the best dishes and knew his drinks as well. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the city. My wife loved her chicken dish and I enjoyed my scallops. Parking was hard to find, but valet is complimentary. I recommend the terrine to start, definitely a great appetizer.
