A great lunch here. Service was friendly parking on side street was easy. This is a small simple place with two items on the menus. You order at the counter and it takes less than ten minutes to cook. We got an order of each. (Potato & meat). You get dozen small dumplings. We had all the toppings and the flavor was great. When you add the cost which is modest this come across as a great lunch.

Oh my gosh! To die for! This is a must visit and you will always be happy! This is a hidden gem on the beaten path and looks very unassuming from the outside. Literally two menu items to choose from and I’m guessing you can never go wrong with either one! The only other one I’ve seen is in Juneau and I was so excited to get this here too! Definitely the most affordable meal in Sitka and trust me, this will fill you up!

Pelmeni, a dish at the heart of Russian cuisine. This light and delicious dumpling is wrapped in a thin dough and is just spicy enough that you know you’re trying something different. Topped with rice wine vinegar, Sriracha and I believe to be Old Bay seasonings as well. Don’t forget the sour cream. Choose either the meat or potato variety, you can’t go wrong. Takes a bit for them to cook it up for you, but once you have it in your mouth, it’ll be all worth the wait!

I ordered the beef pelmeni with siracha and sour cream. Got back to my hotel with it ready to savor my dinner. Guess what? NO SIRACHA Just cold, clammy tiny, tiny dumplings. Thanks for ruining my experience in Sitka.

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Russian cuisine is underrated, and this restaurant only further proves my point. The dumplings are made perfectly and drizzled with the correct amount of sauce along with having the correct amount of herbs and spices. Some rye bread is brought out with the delicious pelmini dumplings, and the taste of the rye bread is adequate! As an amateur histrographer, I’m glad Alaska has not completely abandoned it’s Russian roots (after all, Alaska was once settled by Russian).

The servers were friendly and the Russian Dumpling were excellent. Got the beef with all the listed toppings and thoroughly enjoyed. From the Bahamas and heard when coming to Sitka it was a must try. Not disappointed at all. Would definitely eat again.

Customer service isn’t great- Found the lady to be extremely rude. They serve the dumplings in Styrofoam which is the worst for the environment. Dumplings can be spicy which was a good delight. Good thing to try once but I wouldn’t go back due to the way they treat their customers.

Really delicious dumplings. Nice guy at the register. Definitely recommend for a quick stop. $9 for beef dumplings and there was about a dozen dumplings which were bite size.
