I was super impressed and dare I say blown away by just about everything! From the Tom Ka soup right through to the Drunken Noodles – each dish we had was packed with flavours that were bold, authentic, and beautifully balanced.
The service was great! Despite it being super busy – our sever was very attentive (especially on a holiday evening), and even came to let us know the kitchen was closing and if we wanted desserts, we had 10-15 mins to place the order/s.
The venue itself is really unique/trendy – I would describe it as a fun, unexpected blend of a cozy French bistro aesthetic with a Thai twist—warm, stylish, and welcoming. A total gem in Old Town & I can’t wait to go back!
Their cocktails were perfectly mixed.
We got a couple of dishes and every single one of them tasted great and full of flavors. The sisters fries rice was one of the best fried rices I’ve had so far.
I had a beautifully presented cocktail that was refreshing and delicious, and the curry was rich, creamy, and full of fresh shrimp and vegetables. Everything tasted vibrant and comforting.
Service was friendly, and the overall vibe makes it a lovely choice for a relaxed dinner or a cute night out. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the experience felt a bit rushed, and at 10 PM they turned on the bright lights as if signaling guests to wrap up — which felt too early and slightly disruptive especially being on a date.
Other than that, it was a delicious and visually beautiful dining experience — definitely worth visiting!
Water was always empty and the restaurant was almost empty as well. I can tell why: the “lunch specials” are $20. And a minimum suggested tip is 20% and goes all the way to 30% is so crazy to me. Sadly I don’t think it’s worth it anymore for me for a $30 lackluster lunch
It’s rare to find a place that excels on all fronts, but Sisters Thai absolutely does. Highly, highly recommend!
Shoutout to Kelvin!!
Because I had a good experience here the first time, I brought my friends there for lunch and was very disappointed. The curry was still great, and it had a lot of meat, but my friend ordered a beef dish that was very dry. For dessert, my friends ordered the cube toast, and it was nearly inedible because it was rock hard. It was so hard that a knife couldn’t cut it, and eating it was literally a painful experience for our mouths. My friend also ordered a milk TEA latte and was served a coffee latte instead. We all heard her emphasize the TEA multiple times too. I wanted to share a good time with my friends, but we left feeling very upset. This restaurant could benefit from more consistency and training, which is too bad because the curry itself was delicious, but this recent experience will probably have me looking elsewhere.
Out of all the Sister Thai locations I’ve visited, this one easily stands out with its stylish interior and outstanding service. The décor is warm, modern, and thoughtfully put together—it adds so much to the overall dining experience.
The food? Just as delicious as the other branches, which honestly impressed me. It’s great to see that consistency across locations, especially when the flavors are already so solid.
A bonus: the restroom was spotless—super clean and well-maintained. It’s a small detail, but it really does make a difference, especially before or after a meal!
Overall, this spot checks all the boxes: great food, beautiful ambiance, and genuinely kind service. Definitely my favorite Sister Thai branch so far.
