The cutest spot! You have to take a ferry over to the island. There is no charge for the ferry, however tipping is greatly appreciated! Once you get onto the island there is an outside bar and outside seating area with gorgeous views of the Connecticut River. Great spot for a lunch or dinner date! I ordered the fish tacos and they were so flavorful and delicious!!!!

First time visiting this place with my girlfriend after work . Arrived around 6 pm
On a Wednesday , found street parking. Walked up to dock area and took a quick ferry boat ride over to the island side of the Marina where the restaurant is located .
Was seated right away on the outside patio
It was a sunny evening , nice breeze . The view was amazing, so relaxing .
Our server (Nolan) came over right away with Water and menus . And asked if we wanted cocktails . We both order a drink and then placed an appetizer order for the Shrimp wrapped in Rice Paper with a sweet chilli dipping sauce . Great presentation and they were delicious. He came back to take our dinner order which we decided to share , we got the Mixed Green Caprese Salad and a Hot Buttered Lobster Roll with fries ( my first lobster roll ever , and it was fantastic)
Very meaty and the toasted buttered brioche roll was great . Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.
Nolan said this was his 3rd day on the job , he was very friendly , offered suggestions and was very tentative to our dining experience. The service was excellent .
We took our time with dinner , enjoying the light music and relaxing views . Decided to order dessert , the salted caramel cheesecake… wow .. the presentation and the taste was amazing . We both enjoyed our first dining experience here
And can’t wait to go back . After dinner we took a stroll around the marina . This place will definitely be one of my favorites .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

This was my first visit with a friend who has been here a couple of times prior.

I ordered the fried calamari and the crispy brussel sprouts. My friend ordered the Asian chicken chop salad. We both ordered a Mango mojito and the total was $80.81 before leaving a $16 tip.

It was busy and we were lucky to get one of the last two tables. Beautiful 80° day and I really enjoyed my dishes.

The fried calamari was fried perfectly for me, I usually ask them to fry an extra but the young lady who served our table, Ingrid, stated that it is already fried crispy. So I went with the calamari without having it extra fried and it was perfect!
The chili sauce on top and the serving was very fair for the price.
The crispy brussel sprouts were really good as well and again a very fair serving. They had an aioli sauce on top.

My friend really enjoyed her Asian chicken chopped salad and we both like the Mango mojitos. I was worried the mojitos would be sweet, but the splash of seltzer helped that and they were not too sweet at all.
The only suggestion I have is not so much mint because drinking it out of a straw the mint kept getting stuck in the straw.

I would have taken more pictures but it was really busy and I did not want to take a bunch of pictures with people in them.

There is a little boat that crosses you from one side of the river to the other. Once you Google this pla
ce and plan on going here, everything flows well and has great signage.

Based on the recommendation of a friend who knows a good restaurant when she sees one, we paid a visit to Siren today with my in-laws. Arriving a little before the noon opening time, we found easy parking and enjoyed the short (30 second!) ferry ride and sat in Siren’s lovely Adirondack chairs and enjoyed the view of the marina. The bartender, who also was our server, then sat us in one of the comfy outdoor tables. We ordered Blooming Wild Hibiscus cocktails, which were lovely. Then in short order, our entrees arrived: my wife and I each ordered the CT-style lobster roll, which came on fresh brioche buns, and my in-laws ordered crab cakes and fish and chips. I got to try a taste of the fish and chips, which were excellent: crispy on the outside and soft and flaky in the middle. The house-made fries and potato chips were very good. The lobster roll was the best I’ve had: the lobster was perfectly cooked (sometimes places overcook it) and the brioche bun was a revelation. Prices were in-line with other places, but the ambiance is priceless. The service was impeccable, the facilities were spotless, and outdoors, the spacing of the tables made for easy social distancing. A nice breeze blew across the terrace throughout our meal. This will no doubt be a help as the weather heats up. All told, an elegant newcomer to the CT coastal dining scene!

5.25.23 OH how fun. You 1st have to take a 6 person max ferry, free. It’s as far as crossing the road, except via ferry. Fun, right? The outdoor seating is spectacular with views of the Marina. Our meal was fantastic and I can’t wait to go back.

Very nice experience eating here. We sat inside as it was full outside and starting to rain. The food was great, but the new England clam chowder was only leuk warm. It was delicious, but would have been perfect if hot. I had the island fish tacos which had great flavor. I did not like the avocado purée, I think it would have been better with sliced avocado, but it paired nicely with the mango. I liked the yuzu slaw, it was different and quite refreshing. The wait staff were all attentive and friendly. I think there was also a coolness factor for eating on an island that we rode a small ferry service to.

A cute little place. Outdoor seating with umbrella. Nice view of the Marina. A 30 second complimentary water taxi ride. Salads, crab cakes, fish tacos, fun cocktails and mocktails (drinks are on the small side). Accommodating staff.

Beautiful view of the water and the boats from their outdoor patio.
Server was attentive and friendly.
Very disappointing lobster roll. It was $36 with a $2 extra charge for French fries and there was barely any lobster on the roll. In addition, the minimal amount of lobster that was on the roll were very tiny pieces. It was basically a toasted butter roll. We also found the menu to be limited.

You feel you are no longer in The Americas. Off the beaten path, but what a great destination in Essex, CT. Free short ferry ride to the island, restaurant and boat marina on the Connecticut River that can be reached by car, bike or boat. And it hits you with such a delightful vengeance, simply awesome. The gleam of the sun reflecting on the waters before you, the small pleasure boats and big yachts gently moving up and down in the waters, the shores across, the sound of the seaplane landing and taking off at on the CT River, dropping off passengers and taking in new ones is something from a long gone by era. The settings of Siren Kitchen & Bar Restaurant are spectacular and that’s why we keep going back. Yes…it is overpriced for this seasonal ‘island” restaurant. It’s location, location, location! In this new world where we are all locked in to stay in the US for the next year or so, it’s a good place. We do go back many times… the boat ride over from Long Island Sound or the Connecticut, the location, the beautiful fresh water that leads out to Long Island Sound keeps calling us back time and time again. (but I wish they served breakfast. What a way to start the day out…) Cheers!
