We went today for the Easter Bunny! We grabbed a burger, BBQ pork and a ice cream cake! The food was absolutely delicious and nice size for the price! I also had a macchiato I absolutely love how many flavors they have! I had to come back and add a review of the ice cream cake! Wowwww I’ve never had one like this it is amazing and what an amazing price!

I get the banana split tornado, the largest one and oh my goodness… Lol. Just like dairy ripples (aka hairy nipple if you’re from Belvidere then you definitely know it by that name, lol) banana split cyclone. Mine was a bit pricey, but when I go into town I try to stop in and grab one. Friendly staff. Clean. Plenty of seating.

Decent prices, sometimes downright low cost! Huge selection of treats and drinks and foods. Excellent ambiance. Free interwebs. You can even sit in the back room and watch the ice skating or hockey nearby. Wheelchair accessible. Booths and comfy couch types with coffee tables. Outlets for charging. Highly recommended.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but the staff here seriously need some customer service training. I came in today and politely asked about a peanut butter drink I know someone has ordered with almond milk before (I’m lactose intolerant). Instead of answering kindly, the girl behind the counter just stared at me like I was stupid, then said in the most condescending tone, “Our shakes are made with ice cream.” When I clarified, she continued to just look at me without saying another word — no explanation, no alternative suggestions, nothing.
I ended up leaving without ordering because the whole interaction made me uncomfortable and unwelcome. Sadly, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced rudeness from the staff here. They seem annoyed to even be working. If you’re going to have teens behind the counter, at least train them to treat customers with basic courtesy.

I’m local to Sips about 25/30 minutes and I actually saw them recommended off TikTok due to location and so today I was in the area and decided to check it out. The atmosphere is so cute and the staff are all super nice. I’m a coffee buff and love supporting small businesses and I asked the girl at the counter for their most popular coffee flavor, she suggested toasted marshmallow as it’s a more popular fun flavor, so I went with it! It was so good! I was pleased they offered dairy substitutes (oat, almond or even low fat regular milk) and got an iced latte and it was really good. Will definitely be back. I’m hoping to try their lunch/dinner options next time as their advertising on TikTok of their food looks super good as well!☺️
