Home of the Montana Mermaids! Located in the O’Haire Inn we are an original tiki lounge. The mermaids swim every night if available starting at 6pm until around 10ish. We DO NOT guarantee mermaid appearances, however we are always hopeful. There is no mermaid show, they just simply swim. Those under 21 are allowed into the lounge until 8pm. Under 21 are not allowed to sit at the bar. We do remind parents that the Sip ‘n Dip Lounge is an adult drinking establishment and conversations and actions of patrons may be typical of that. Reservations are not accepted. Call us if you have other questions.
Funky, old-school cocktail lounge with a tiki theme showcasing swimming mermaids behind the bar.

But if you are walking stay on the main drag because great falls encourages the homeless in that area on the side streets.
It is unimaginable in this era of tear-down-and build-new mentality of our society that this historic 1960’s relic could have survived into this century!!!!!!
A terrific spot with phenomenal service by the friendly staff…..and if I EVER get through GREAT FALLS again I will book into this hotel so I can get the full experience of the swimming mermaids.
CONGRATS to all at the O’Haire INN and you lucky locals !!!!!
First off! The Sip ‘n Dip lounge… with the MERMAIDS!!! Gracefully swimming in the glass tank behind the bar. It’s fun, whimsical, and totally unique. They don’t just swim, they connect with the guests, waving, playing, posing, even doing little tricks. It’s mesmerizing, and for me it completely erased the weight of a tough day. Pair that with great staff and a welcoming atmosphere, and it felt like pure magic.
The hotel itself leans into retro charm in the best way. My room was clean, quiet, and carried this cool mid-century vibe.. patterned bedspread, vintage photos on the wall, even classic furniture that made it feel like stepping into another era. But it’s not just looks, it’s comfortable and cared for.
The details sealed it for me. A working record player with vinyls provided (yes, in the room!). A playful little rubber duck waiting in the bathroom that made me laugh. Even the furniture and fixtures had personality, the kind you can’t get in a chain hotel.
It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, nostalgia, and fun so effortlessly. What started as one of the roughest days I can remember turned into an unforgettable evening, all thanks to O’Haire and their amazing team.
If you’re in Great Falls, do yourself a favor and stop in, even if it’s just for the Sip ‘n Dip and the mermaids. You’ll leave lighter, happier, and with a story worth telling!
I would have given it 5 stars but the food menu is pretty limited. Beyond that, I highly recommend.
The decor is as a Polynesian theme that hasn’t changed since it was popular in the 1960s. The nostalgia of the place is fantastic. The defining feature is the mermaid show – performers swim in the hotel pool in mermaid costumes, while bar patrons watch through an underwater window. Food service closed before I arrived, but you’re going there for the atmosphere, not the food. Enjoy it!
