I was greeted by the friendly worker, I think her name was Abbey and she gave me a good spiel of the store and how everything is from local partners. Their coffee was great, I got a Lavendar latte with oat milk. They also offered gelato but I opted out because it was so early in the morning. I also bought a Kouign Amann Chocolate heated. Located across the theater, a nice spot to grab a cup of coffee, smoothies, pastries, or gelato. There’s some street parking and there’s a parking garage around the corner.

Such a cute little shop. It was a nice spot to spend with a friend. We both got the Rose Latte. It was delicious and such a nice treat. Nice to have high quality coffee in a drink you rarely see offered other places. The staff was friendly and let us know about the way all spices and purees are housemade.

Adorable little cafe with cute decor! Tried a blueberry latte. Did have to wait around a bit because they were short staffed and had a sign about the labour shortage. Would definitely come back to support them next time!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Maybe my new favorite sweet treat place in San Rafael. Some of the best gelato I’ve ever had! And that’s saying something because I’ve tried a fair amount of gelato (and ice cream) places. Freshly opened so they don’t even have a front sign yet but seriously don’t miss out on this place! The woman running the store when we came in, Rosa, told us that the gelato is made in small batches with authentic methods by an Italian gelato maker who ships specific flavors to them. I also heard that the chocolate cookie with sea salt is a bestseller but they had sadly sold out by the time we got there (a bit past 7pm). It’s a small shop but there’s indoor and outdoor seating.
Free samples! We tried strawberry sorbet, dark chocolate, black sesame, and ube. Ube was by far the best (my friend and I agreed). Rosa told us the toasted almonds with caramelized fig flavor is really popular and it looked amazing. I only didn’t get it because I’m allergic to nuts. The dark chocolate was SO chocolate-y and rich it tasted like eating straight dark chocolate or almost like a brownie, which I loved. My friend really liked the black sesame flavor. Each flavor felt very saturated with exactly the flavor it purported to be and tasted natural, not artificial. I will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone I know. I’m already planning my next visit- I need to try the chocolate cookie next and I will be getting the ube again. I have my eye on coconut, mango, and matcha for my next visit as well.

Right across the street from Pink Owl Coffee and in such a cute hidden spot! They have such a variety of different drinks and pastries ! The worker in the front was so kind and sweet to me. She gave me amazing recommendations and even offered me samples of the gelato! I got the Strawberry Matcha and Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie. Both were absolutely yum. Will be visiting again soon 🙂
