Nicholas was the first person to make our experience at Sinatra’s exceptional, and we’re so grateful – not only to visit him at our favorite restaurant, but to introduce so many of our friends to this amazing establishment as well.
Our group enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, chicken parmesan, meatballs, Caesar salads, and many other dishes – and everything was served perfectly.
Food wise – Oysters were sweet and fresh. Steaks were very good. The corn was unbelievably good – not kidding – get it. Duck confit potatoes were in a. Delish sauce…..wow. Lots of deserts as well and the winner IMO was the gelato! Lots of very solid Old Fashioneds and great red wine……great first event
Will be back next time in Nashville!!
We are in town and didn’t have a reservation in advance but really wanted to go here. Our friends encouraged us to walk up to the bar and we might be lucky to get seated. We did exactly that and got seated at bar, 12′ away from the stage and piano. We had great dinner and the jazz performance. The bartender, Mathew, was so great as well as the bar staff.
1. Chopped salad with blue cheese: 4/5 – well balanced of blue cheese, acidity, texture. A nice twist with fried shallots.
2. Filet mignon: 5/5 – well seasoned, perfectly medium rare grilled, so flavorful and tender melting in your mouth. The roasted garlic sauce perfectly complimented the whole dish.
3. Duck confit and crispy fingerling potatoes: 5/5 – super crispy on the outside but still moist on the inside. Well seasoned but not overpowered with herbs and spices.
4. Ragu shortribs with pappardelle: 5/5 – delicious. I pride myself making a damn good Bolognese, the real Italian way, and have to say it is damn good. Well balanced of flavors and texture of the sauce, not greasy nor salty nor too overwhelmingly rich. Serving over fresh homemade pasta could not be better.
5. Flourless chocolate cake: 5/5 – outrageously delicious. It is not on the menu but our bartender recommended it. Lo behold, it was better than our expectations. Yes it is rich but so perfect that we couldn’t resist to finish. So creamy, velvety, chocolatey, but not super sweet nor bitter. Imagine it tastes better and has a much better personality than a Godiva heart dark chocolate pieces.
The music was great. So Frank Sinatra but not dominating the dining quality. I think he is Keith Sergent, great jazz singer.
Dining service was great. The staff replaced our plates for next courses.
Just one small suggestion that if servers can give some space and respect for guests seating at one end of the bar where they put water pitchers that would be great.
It was a memorable experience for us in Nashville!
