I hadn’t been here before. The service is great. Everyone is friendly. We had the shrimp appetizer with guacamole, and that was delicious. I got the chimichanga (I wanted something fried!) and my husband the chile colorado. We both thought the dishes were just ok. They weren’t bad by any means but we’ve had tastier. The food did look good. I think the dishes can be a hit or miss. The place is popular, so they’re doing something right.

Great Mexican restaurant right in the middle of Morgan Hill. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is both inside and outside dining. They have a full bar with tons of great drinks. The food is really good as well. I had the steak abd chicken Fajitas and they were tasty. Lots of food, you wont leave still hungry.

The 26$ fajita salad is worth 12.95 at best. Menu states iceberg lettuce and guac. It came with a cup of spring mix, no guac and a half cup of chicken. Server said menu is wrong and thanks for letting them know?!?! Gave me some guac. Also charged 5$ for spicy sauce without telling us there was extra charge. Definitely some issues at this place right now. Wish I would have gotten refund for salad.

I asked the server what food she would recommend. I only did this because a few minutes before, my sister asked her what drink she would recommend. Initially, I judged her for doing this because why would the server have the same taste buds as her. She said that if the server was passionate about a drink or explained how a certain drink was a fan favorite, she’d feel more inclined to try it. That made sense to me. If my friends suddenly became passionate about bird watching and began doing it a few times a week…I wouldn’t be surprised if I tried it. Even though it sounds a little weird. Why is it specifically birds that people watch? There are bird watching classes. I’ve never heard of a dog watching class, squirrel watching class, or dog chasing squirrel watching class. What is it about birds that make them more interesting to stalk? And are bird watchers typically looking for a specific bird, like a blue jay? And once they’ve found that bird…have they won at bird watching? Kind of like a Where’s Waldo situation. I’d assume they’re not just looking for one type of bird. That would be like someone who enjoys people watching, but only if it’s people with mustaches. I should probably just take a bird watching class if I have this many questions. Anyway, my sister and I didn’t get the recommended food or drink, but we enjoyed what we got.

Sinaloa Café stands a few inches taller than most other sit-down Mexican restaurants in Morgan Hill.
My chimichanga was done right: flavorful carne asada, a crispy shell, a good balance of ingredients, not too greasy, and there was enough guacamole, crema, and pico to last through my last bite (although I wouldn’t have minded a little more crema).
The service was friendly, but it seemed like I was forgotten at my outdoor table. I had to go into the restaurant ten minutes after receiving my drink to tell the the bartender that my food order had not been taken yet.
Food costs may be rising, but still, the prices seem a bit high for what you’re getting. Most of the time, I’m probably going to choose a local taqueria over Sinaloa simply because the food is often just as good, but it’s $5+ cheaper.

Two items are the best I’ve ever had
Chile Relleno in creamy guajillo sauce and the Vallarta shrimp burrito. (You can get both items a la carte or with beans and rice. I love this place.

This place is pricey from the drinks to the food. For the price, the food was just okay. Not the best and not the worse. The serving size was pretty large, easily multiple meals. Visited around lunch time, the place wasn’t too packed but it took quite a bit of time before my order was taken and for the food to come out. The best part is that fresh chips and salsa were brought to the table multiple times so it wasn’t too bad of a wait for the food. I ordered the super burrito plate (red sauce on the side).
The restaurant was clean and the servers were very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. One thing I noticed was buying alacarte instead of the plates would allow you to save a couple bucks.

Great service and good food! The waitress was on her game. They also have a coy fish pond and they let my kid feed the fish. I got the meat ball soup and it was great, and my wife had the shrimp salad.
