These guys take smoked meats to a new level with their taco menu. The brisket and pork belly tacos are my favorite with the pulled pork a close third. If you haven’t checked out Simple Choice BBQ yet, you are missing out on the best new evolution in the neighborhood. Located right on the property of the Dog House Drinkery and Dog Park, this place is only three weeks in, but the vision is crystal clear. Prices were below market so splurge!
The Vibe
The partnership here is genius. You grab a drink, let the dogs run wild, play some patio games, and wait for some of the best smoked meats in town. The best part? You don’t even need a dog to enjoy it. It’s just a phenomenal, laid-back environment.
The Food (Simple is the Keyword!)
Owner Josh smokes everything right on the property, and you can taste the craft in every bite. The menu rotates, which keeps things fresh, but if you see these on the board, don’t think, just order:
• The Smoked Burger: Perfectly executed.
• The “Texas Popper”: A massive bacon-wrapped jalapeño stuffed with cheddar and brisket. It’s a game-changer.
• Banana Cream Pudding: Are you kidding me? This dessert is to die for.

True to the name, they keep it simple. Quick pay, and they deliver the food right to you while you lounge on the patio.

10/10! I am a born and raised Texan so I know good BBQ and this place is it! The brisket sandwich was amazing! We also had the poppers and oh my gosh sooo good!! we actually cannot wait to come back. We were just there yesterday, but we may have to go back today! The owner was also super friendly and welcoming (sorry Im terrible with names)! We are new to the area and can’t wait to bring our friends and tell everyone in our neighborhood about this place!

Great food, great price, great atmosphere! This place is at this dog park/bar and is very cool so bring your dogs if you’re coming! Their jalapeño poppers are homemade, massive, and so good! I don’t know why more places don’t offer these. Anyway, highly recommend will definitely be back!
