Baby… when I tell you just walking through the door at Simone’s, the customer service was excellent on purpose. This was my first time visiting, and if you’re new to Birmingham or just wondering if this spot is really worth it — let me help you. It’s not just good. It’s top tier. Top notch.
They were very busy when we arrived and told us there would be a wait, but the way they handled it made all the difference. Instead of just letting us stand around, they sat us at the bar so we wouldn’t feel like we were waiting forever. And the bartender? Absolutely amazing. She was busy, but not once did she fail to acknowledge us or check on us. That matters. It’s one thing to be busy. It’s another thing to make people feel seen and taken care of. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted and attended to.
Now let’s talk about the food. When it came out, it was hot — like it had just come straight out of the oven. Even after boxing some up to go, it was still hot. The flavor? Perfect. I didn’t need extra seasoning, didn’t want to add a thing. Everything was balanced and delicious just the way it was served.
Simone’s is what I call excellent, top-tier service all around — from the greeting to the goodbye. If you’re in Birmingham and looking for brunch done right, this is the spot.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who had previously been and had a pretty good experience. Since we were in Birmingham for the weekend, we decided to give it a shot. The service was friendly and delivered with a smiling face. Our orders were mostly correct, but our server did forget to bring out one of my friend’s sides but still attempted to charge her for it. Definitely an honest mistake though. And it was corrected as soon as it was brought to the server’s attention. The flavored lemonade was very sweet, and didn’t have much lemon flavor. So if you like tart lemonade, I’d recommend trying a different drink option. The food was just okay for me. I ordered the baked chicken, greens, yams, and cornbread. The chicken came served on a bed of rice. The rice, cornbread, and greens were pretty good. However, the chicken was not well seasoned and I ended up just playing over it. I took one bite of the yams and didn’t touch the rest. They lacked flavor overall. Given that my friends had a previously good experience I would say that it was just and off day when I went. The price point was fine. Not expensive at all (I think I spent about $22 plus tip).

Great spot for a birthday celebration! We had a party of about 15 people and Nika was our server. She was excellent! The service and food was great! Good vibes at this place. We ordered the crawfish queso and OMG it was a huge serving! Also had the fried pork chops and the Mac and cheese and okra! I don’t know what was better the Mac and cheese or the pork chops. The bar drinks were a generous pour as well. I will definitely return!

A fan is born! I had the best fried green tomatoes of my life here today.
Also thoroughly enjoyed the brunch shrimp and grits. It’s creamy and flavorful and absolutely worth getting.
I got the mimosa flight with just peach and strawberry to account for my allergy issues and that was also lovely.

We had such a great experience at Simone’s Kitchen & Cocktails! The vibe was just right but comfortable with a really nice energy throughout the space. The music selection added a perfect touch to the evening, setting a laid-back yet upbeat tone that made the whole place feel alive.
Our waitress, Zion (hope I’m spelling that right!), was phenomenal. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She gave great recommendations and checked in on us just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You could tell she truly cares about providing great service.
The food and cocktails were amazing fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. Between the ambiance, the music, and Zion’s top-notch service, Simone’s really delivered a memorable night. I’ll definitely be back!

Ok first off when we got there we stood waiting for somebody to greet us along with another couple that were standing behind us waiting as well. They eventually walked to bar but we stayed waiting then finally one of the bartenders acknowledged us but the other couple that set at the bar got greeted 1st even though they watched us standing there before and said nothing! We finally got seated and a young lady took our order. We waited again as we watched several employees walk around, bartenders wasn’t making drinks so we were just about to leave when we saw our waiter and I asked about our drinks and she left went to the back and brought our food out. One bartender left while the other can from behind bar to start cleaning tables (still no drinks) then she started talking to the people at the other tables, went back behind the bar and fixed a shot for the people at 1 of the tables then a drink for the other lady sitting at the table in front of us so as we were getting ready to leave our food comes. My husband reminded her of our drinks and he said I’ve never gotten my food before my drink. Our food and drinks were good so I wasn’t going to say anything but I decided to taste more drinks. Again it took a while and I watched a bartender smoking her hookah, on their phone as we wait for our drinks. Finally got them and they were good then the bartender apologized for the delay. The waitress said they were changing shifts but if that was the case those other 2 tables would’ve gotten their drinks either and during the shift change. She apparently knew them well from the conversation we overheard and I said that to say this. Service is EVERYTHING when running a business I know bc we’ve been running a very successful one over 32yrs and we love some good food, hospitality but if the service is bad we don’t go back. However I do believe in 2nd chances but I don’t think my husband will go back. He runs his business strictly and professionally so he wasn’t happy

The food was absolutely hot & delicious. Friday night they has a DJ playing hip hop and R&B which was a total vibe. This place is a 10/10 for sure!
