This is a wonderful new spot opening up in Downtown Palo Alto. We were warmly greeted at the door and ordering was extremely simple. The food was out of this world flavorful and really hearty and filling. Our server/host was extremely friendly and kind and overall it was a wonderful experience. Will be sure to bring more friends and family here in the future. Highly recommended!!

We got a pork belly and curry bowl and a beef rice bowl with an added side of curry sauce. Absolutely recommend both!!!

This is the (gojujang?) chicken. Not as pictured for sure. Also tastes so basic. Not in like a classic Korean food way, but like a boring-they threw hot sauce at it-way. Kimchi is $2.50 more, which is crazy to me, considering banchan is a fundamental part of Korean cultural hospitality.

Girl who worked there was great. Super nice and kind. Vibe was fine, I didn’t know there was seating til after I ordered.

The food we had was absolutely amazing! I ordered the tofu kimchi rice bowl, it was delicious. Our host was so sweet and made the best food. We’ll definitely be back here on a regular basis.

I had the Organic matcha pork belly with ssamjang I’m Korean, and I’ve tried a lot of Korean food in the U.S.
This was the worst food I’ve ever had in my life.
The pork was so overcooked that it fell apart and turned to mush. The ssamjang tasted strangely sour, and the whole dish was overly soggy, greasy, and heavy. I strongly recommend not eating this.
I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

Unfortunately the bad reviews of this place are accurate: this ranks as one of the worst meals I’ve had in years. It’s actually impressive how disgusting the food was.

The service was also pretty bad. There was no one at the counter when we arrived and our order ticket sat there for 10 minutes before someone came out, no apology, no acknowledgement of our presence, and zero sense of urgency.

The only redeeming quality of this place is the relatively reasonable price for the portion size. If you lack tastebuds or are experiencing the concept of food for the first time, and crave a big bowl of mush, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go next door to O2 Valley where they serve edible food for the similar price.

Finally tried this place and I’m so glad I did! The gochujang chicken is incredible – just the right amount of flavor. Perfect for takeout too, which is exactly what I needed. So happy they opened up in the area. Will def come back for more!

Such a wonderful new addition to University! The service is great and the food is outstanding. I’ve tried the chicken and the beef bowls so far and they’re both clearly made from scratch and so full of flavor. Great value for the price. Will be back many times!

We went to this restaurant because the reviews were pretty good. I had the Gan-Jang Beef Rice Bowl. Unfortunately, when we finally got our order, the food wasn’t good at all. The beefwas very flat tasting and barely palatable. Even the rice wasn’t good. We were the only customers when we were there, and it’s just not difficult to guess why.

Large pork belly bowl with ssamjang.
Ssamjang is super salty, I wish it wasn’t slathered on top of all the rice and making it all too salty.
Pork belly is tasty, tender. Rice is soso.

The chicken and the beef tasted like they just threw BBQ sauce into the mix. Doesn’t taste anything Korean. They don’t even put veggies like spinach or bean sprouts or kimchi as basic sides. For $20 a bowl it could definitely taste better. Perhaps just sesame oil or real Korean sauces and flavors.
