I had tried a location in LA that was delicious, so I was delighted to find this location was just as good. The truffle ramen was SO FLAVORFUL!!! The gyozas were cooked to perfection.

Got the tonkatsu ramen and chicken karaage combo. Karaage was better than the ramen imo, broth could use a little more flavor. They also didn’t have chili flakes to add seasoning. I would maybe come back to try their other dishes.

Food: Plenty of Ramen choices, animal-based and plant-based. Great selection of appetizers. A couple of beer selections as well.

Service: The place was busy but my order was accurate and came hot and ready in short time. The server was attentive and recommended what they enjoyed the most.

Visited Silverlake Ramen for dinner tonight. The food was phenomenal, the service was quick, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. It was a great place to stop in for some yummy ramen.

Here is my review of the food:

Veggie Ramen with truffle oil

This was hands down the best vegetarian ramen I have ever had. The broth was so rich in flavor and the noodles were the perfect amount of chewy. I did pay to add in the truffle oil which I felt added extra flavor to the broth and would highly recommend getting it with this dish. They also use broccolini in their ramen which was my favorite part of the ramen.

Creamy Broccolini

They had a combo meal where you get ramen and an appetizer. I chose the creamy broccolini. It was amazing!! I actually wanted an entire plate of just this. The crispy broccolini with the sesame sauce. Just fantastic! Highly highly recommend trying this.

The Impossible Bun

This was a fried katsu impossible meat bun. I really wanted to like this but this was a big miss for me. The sauce was very off putting to me and I could not finish it.

I’ve been coming here a lot ever since this place has opened and although the prices have been increased over the years, I have never been disappointed with the quality of everything I’ve gotten here. The ramen is by far my favorite out of everything I’ve tried the tonkotsu is my go to with the pork bun and both have been delicious with no complaints. The atmosphere is pretty good for a small little ramen shop. The service has been amazing too specifically a server named Micheal. Always greeting me and my family with a smile and always making sure everything I’ve gotten had been delicious and fixed problems right away. Micheal is what I belief makes this silverlake in La Habra amazing, he’s very friendly and he’ll help you out if you have any problems.

First time checking out this spot and we had to do take out. I was pleasantly surprised how fast the food was prepared and it was packaged very well.

The broth was still hot enough to add to the ramen and not have to do any additional heating. I had the Blaze ramen with spicy level. At first I thought it wasn’t that spicy but then I found the ball of spice and mixed it all up. After that it was a good heat of spice. I have a high tolerance of spice so it met my expectations. The egg was perfectly cooked where it was still runny, even for take out! The chashu was thick and tender, which I really liked.

I tried the broth for the garlic truffle and it was a rich and creamy flavor I enjoyed. I’d want to get that next time.

We paid the $1.95 for the ghost pepper kimchi and it was a little container of it. It wasn’t that spicy compared to my Blaze ramen so I wouldn’t recommend it.

We also got the chicken karaage and for being take out, it was still delicious. It wasn’t that crispy since it was in a container so we could’ve thrown that in an air fryer to make it crispy. It was still good regardless.

The interior was very nice when I went inside to pick up the food. Their outdoor dining space is covered on the side as well with plenty of seating. The parking lot is a bit small but at least they have one.

I would love to come back and dine in when I come back to visit SoCal from the Bay Area. This was one of the better ramen spots I’ve had compared to the Bay Area.

The ramen here is solid. That said, there are better ones in the area. I won’t name them here, as I’m reviewing this place.

I got the garlic truffle ramen. I’m not sure, but it felt like there was something missing. The broth was very creamy, but lacked a certain flavor to associate with that creaminess.

The pork was tender and juicy, but again, lacked any notable flavor to go with it. I’ll come back to try out a different type..or maybe it was just an off day. Definitely worth another shot.

Ramen is average, not much difeerence with other ramen place.
Over price for pork bun, is just okay. Not my favorite.
My hubby said their ginger ale is good.
Place is small, limited indoor seating but they have outdoor seating too.
Parking lot only couple car but you can park om the street too.

The silver lake ramen in downtown LA is by far one of my favorite ramens of all time. Unfortunately this location does not live up to that standard. The broth in downtown LA is so much tastier and is rich with flavor. The broth at this location just lacked that punch and tasted more generic. The tonkatsu is the broth I enjoy. I always get the blaze as I love the spice. I wish they had quality control across locations as this restaurant is close to my house but does not satisfy my craving. The gyoza and crispy tuna rice were bomb!

Omg.. it’s No wonder there’s always A-line to get to this place and it’s always packed with people.. Simply because the ramen is delicious. Service was exceptional the food was delicious and you will not be disappointed while ordering any of these Ramens. We had 3 different types of ramen’s at our table when we went in and all of them were delicious.. you get ample amount of noodles. Had to come back.. visit #2. Eye rolling good. get the combo, you get an appetizer with your noodles. Server Victoria is really accommodating and makes the visit even more pleasant.
