Don’t let the bad reviews phase you because the my group of 5 experience here was amazing. The waiter was super friendly and quick to serve. We all got different things from breakfast and lunch and all of it was so good. Will definitely be coming back!

I usually give great reviews , but coming here today was a bad choice. When we got a table the restaurant had about 15 people. Only 1 waitress in the whole place. It took her 8 mins to come to see what we wanted. After we ordered the food it should have arrived in about 10 to 15 mins. But noooooooo it arrived 35 mins later for 2 burger deluxe. Are you serious , this place is a joke. The owner needs people to work there. They need waitresses , they need a water boy , they need the people that take the trash off the table. Ohhhh and I almost forgot the burgers were cold , the frys were stale 1 slice of lettuce that looked old and 2 small round pickles smaller than a quarter. And they had no coleslaw .Will never come back to this place. Now I know why this place is always empty.

Had breakfast with a group of friends here and it was the best experience! It was quiet when we were there around noon. Our waitress was really lovely and helpful, was not expecting much from the food but it was absolutely delicious! The pancakes were the best so definitely give them a try. Portions are big too. Will definitely come back if we visit NJ again.

Save your money and time and don’t come here we came with a party of 3 and the waiter just sat us and that’s all he did and doesn’t give us the menu in our hands he just sat us and forgot about us ,I had to get up and ask for the menu and all he said was it was right there, I gave him a chance and sat back down and then when we all knew what to order we’re waiting 30 minutes and no one even tried to come up to us and take our order, the guy that sat us walks around and ignores us and I saw when other customers were also asking for the menu the man just sighed and mumbled something under his breath, like take your stank attitude away or don’t come to work at all, we waited another 5 minutes and decided to just leave. Don’t waste ur money here it’s not worth it and just look at the other reviews too u know it’s true. Unprofessional

They should have taken lessons from the previous owners of the Four Star Diner and learned how to service customers and provide fast meals that are not at room temperature. It took an hour for my girlfriend and I to eat a simple breakfast of eggs, potatoes, room temperature toast and sausage links. When the manager asked me how things were and I gave her my honest opinion she told me that I should have asked for her and the excuse for the slowness was they only have one cook working today. How could she have sped things up if she’s already excusing having only one cook working when there’s less than 10 people in the establishment eating? I wish the Four Star Diner was still here. I’m never coming back.

Diner opened up again. This was a local diner growing up in the area decided to give it a try.
To be begin this is a cash and zelle only spot. No credit cards. You walk in no salad bar or dessert display like before. Right now, the only options are breakfast, burgers, and chicken.
From the beginning they should be honest we only have these options instead of giving you a full menu.
Coffee was old and cold not fresh.
2 waiters they were very sweet despite the circumstances.
Young guy at entrance has an attitude when you go to pay. He expects everyone to have the zelle ready. First of all they should have a sign with the zelle information or QR code ready on paper.

Nice place to have breakfast, located in Union City. Staff was so friendly and amazed with us the whole time! Lots of options in the menu – with some good combos. Food is good – but it could be a bit better. Anyway, a good place to go, that we’ll visit again.

First time going here and I will be back. The pancakes were to die for, delicious. On a rainy evening the place was almost empty but the service was amazing and the atmosphere so warm and cozy I felt like Christmas came early. If I had managed to pick a song from the jukebox I would have called it a throwback to good times. They can add more variety to the selection in those that’s the only thing I would suggest they change. Waiter was 5 star customer friendly. I love diners and don’t get to go to them as often as I like but this was a great reminder of why Diners are the symbol of American culture and need to be cherished.

I was out in Union City at night and needed some decent eats. I came across this diner which was about to close in about a half hour. I decided on a standard cheeseburger done medium rare. I didn’t have to wait long to get my food and it was more than satisfying. I finished my meal with time to spare. If I’m in town again I’ll definitely eat here. I’m curious about the bison burger.
