We really enjoyed our lunch at Fosters Kitchen. We wanted to order the stuffed chicken, but they were out of certain ingredients. We ordered the Thai Chicken Salad and the fried chicken with gravy along with garlic truffle fries. All three items were delicious. The atmosphere is great at this location.

Food was well prepared and tasty. Started with the fried green tomatoes, but they could have been a little more spicy. The fish was good and pulled pork sandwich just right. I would consider coming again. Biggest problem is lack of staff so service require some patience

We got the ribs and shrimp pasta. Both dishes were very yummy – the ribs were cooked perfectly with not a crazy amount of fat. We enjoyed our time looking out at the lake. Our service was great and quick. Perfect date night spot!

We were warmly greeted by the staff, even though it was 15 minutes before closing, yet still offered a full complement of service & access to the menu.

This is definitely one of the best places to eat in Hawaii. The menu was inticing to just to look many great recipes. All of the meats were cooked perfectly and tender even the chicken breast, the ribs fell off the bone and the flavor was intense. The most flavorful thing I ordered was the seafood pesto puff pastry. The pasta was good but not better than Pueo’s Osteria but its half the price so it’s to be expected. I would love to eat here regularly to try all of the menu items.

Love this place. Cozy place with stunning lake side view. one of the best restaurants available in the village. There are not plenty of choices. We ordered the sirloin steak and a hamburger, taste was okay, might not be good enough for food lovers, but overall very good experience for us.

We have been to the Big Island numerous times and this is the first time we have eaten here. The food was horrible, honestly taste like cafeteria food. The steak is low end meat the mash potatoes are cold. Do yourself a favor and go to Abays right across from this location you will be satisfied for sure. I genuinely think this is the worst restaurant I’ve probably been to. It’s not the most expensive place but man please have standards.

Good food that is not too expensive. They get busy at peak hours and doesn’t take reservations but you can get on a list and even set it up to get a reminder to put yourself on the list at a good time for you to eat dinner when you want to.

Party of 8 not one of the 8 enjoyed their meal. Calamari was in all of our opinion just nasty. I can tell you I only got a bowl of tomato bisque. Running restaurants for 25 years it is easy to tell when something came from a can. I switched to the gumbo same deal. My family as a whole came to the conclusion that it was the worst meal we have ever had. No one ate their food. That place has no chef it must be a minimum wage line cook. It was the only restaurant that wasn’t on a wait and for a Friday night at 7 pm which is the only reason we gave them a chance. I had to go back to my room for a pb&j and it absolutely smashed anything Fosters had to offer. The only thing that was positive was Tyler our waiter which we tipped 100 dollars and the hostess which had a beautiful smile. It wasn’t their fault they served us what they did. I couldn’t recommend one item on the menu and we ordered plenty.

Highly recommend the seafood puff pastry! Fish tacos were OK but not much in them. Fries were good but would skip the Cajun seasoning, a ton in the bowl
