EXCELLENT ICE CREAMS
VERY NICE DRINKS
SUPER LIVE MUSIC VENUE

This place is different in a very good way. It is a combination of an Ice Cream Parlour, bar serving food and live music venue. What a mix! But it definitely works out.
My wife and I dropped by for some ice cream in the early afternoon, came back for drinks and a snack, and stayed for the band playing 8-11PM.
The ice creams are just very delicious.
The service in the bar is good. And the person (male) working outside did great keeping up cleaning after people emptying their beers, drinks and plates. The area was near throughout.
The music venue is outside in the back. It is small – in a good way – making it an intimate experience.
When outside you can order in the bar inside or in the outside house.
The band playing this night was great: The Ghosts of Hill County.

This place was fun with the family! The ladies serving ice cream new year’s evening were awesome! Very patient with my son wanting samples! Ice cream was darn good, too. Loved the outdoor seating, nice vibe. We’ll be back – for sure!

Such a cute place!
Don’t be overwhelmed by the amount of people when you first enter, there’s more seatings in the back with a full bar, an upstairs area, and backyard (even with live music sometimes). The ladies working the bar were so nice on a busy holiday weekend evening. We took our kids there, the drinks were amazing, ice cream was amazing, everyone had a great time!

This little place is a 15 out of 10! Awesome ambience was awesome with a true old saloon feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the chocolate covered cherry and the family indulged on ice cream too! Home made waffle cones – yum! I would highly recommend this to anyone!!

The bartender was horridly rude. Worst service I’ve ever received. The sign out front advertised warm drinks to-go for walking around with, so I walked in to get some warm apple cider on this 40 degree day. I could tell she had an awful attitude before I even made it to the counter. I ordered my cider and asked to have it spiked with whatever she thought would be best. That must’ve ticked her off because she literally huffed and said “I guess fireball is fine?” To which I said, “Sure! That sounds great!” She handed it to me in a mule mug (I didn’t specify to-go, so that was fair enough). I was alone and had my one year old on my hip, but figured I’d just sit for a few with him in my lap and sip my cider. Well, the toddler didn’t want to sit, shocker, so I picked him up and went back to the bar and asked if I could get it in a to-go cup. I even apologized for the (minor) inconvenience. The bartender didn’t say a single word. She scowled at me, took my cup, dumped it in a to-go cup and said, “here you go” with the biggest attitude. Truly the worst service I’ve ever received ever at any establishment.

The Silver Saddle Saloon, an ice cream parlor designed to resemble an old western saloon, is located in the darling historic Grandbury Square. Known for their homemade ice cream, they also serve sherbets, sorbets, sundaes, shakes, banana splits and floats. They also feature beer, wine, spirits, candy and pub style food like Frito Pie, Salads, Queso and Chips, Paninis, Sandwiches, Sliders and a really unique kids menu.

Our order: We came for an ice cream and I enjoyed mine on a waffle cone with Cotton Candy and Butter Pecan flavors. The hubs choose TX Honey Whiskey and their Jack and Coke flavors in a cup. We drive 30 min each way to enjoy their ice cream and a drive around the square.

Silver Saddle Saloon offers a family friendly atmosphere with parlor tricks, checkers, checkers, chess, dominos, 8 man poker, billiards, TV’s, a book exchange library, live music, dancing, Bunko, and other events – check their social calendar before going! The front of the store is set up like an old general store with ice cream, candy, sodas and gifts. The back half of the bar is where the music, games and dancing take place.

It’s a great place for families and we highly recommend their ice cream! If you’re lucky, you’ll find a patio table out front to eat your ice cream and people watch!

Stopped in with my family and loved it. Really great job with the saloon feel. Upstairs for adults only features a poker table and pool table. Loved the vibe. Had the “Jack and Coke” and Texas Honey flavors of ice cream and they were delicious. No one else has their unique flavors.
The staff was super friendly to both me and my kids.
I’m excited to go back soon to grab a drink shoot some pool!

Price gouge for the equivalent of a quarter kids Ice cream in a thimble cone was a joke, the regular waffle cone and 1 scoop was closer to an ice cream but the point of sale for additional tip added was also disappointing for the simplicity of the order but I’m not one to skimp on the tip. Overall not worth the trip but mebey something for a special occasion. If you got deep pockets for less than what you’d get out of a drumstick treat go for it, I suppose support local.

Fun place to go, especially if you’re traveling like I am. The menu was small, but the food was good. The ice cream is homemade and awesome, too. Definitely stop in and give this place a try!
