The server was extremely polite and all around excellent. The atmosphere is great for families and solo beer drinkers alike. I got a classic burger with bacon and I was disappointed by the 2 transparent strips of bacon that came on it, but the food was otherwise great. I got the Northern Light beer and it was very easy to drink and quite delicious. Overall 5/5!

Service was ok. Waiter was very patient. We could used a few more drinks if they came by more. Prime rib was a disaster and looked dead. Don’t know why they thought it was ok to bring it out looking like that.

The waiter Isaac was fantastic. Really good.

The food wasn’t great. I got the prime rib and it was kinda boring and plain.

My partner got a burger medium well and it came out bloody. They told the waiter that they temped it and it was hotter than medium well, but there’s no way. It was rare at best.

We did get potato wedges and those were pretty good.

Again, Isaac the waiter was great.

Food was very good service was ok, the wife and I shared a soup that was very popular, we asked for a second spoon twice and it never came. Drinks were good and bartender was very knowledgeable about what she was serving. Definitely will be eating there again next time I am in Fairbanks.

A Must-Visit Gem in Fairbanks – Great Food, Great Beer, and Fantastic Service!

If you are visiting Fairbanks, Silver Gulch Brewing and Bottling Company needs to be on your itinerary. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are hit with a warm, inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a great meal. You are immediately greeted by their gift shop, which is worth a browse on its own—they have an excellent selection of everything from T-shirts and growlers to liquors made right here in Alaska.

We arrived with a large party of 10, including four kids, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful; she was attentive, friendly, and notably great with the children, which made the experience relaxing for the adults.

As for the food and drink, they did not disappoint.

The Beer: I started with the 40 Below Stout. It was exceptional—you could distinctly taste the hints of chocolate and raisin.

The Food: The menu boasts a solid variety of fish, steaks, and pasta. I decided on the Miso-Honey glazed NY Strip, and it was delicious.

If I were a local, I would be here often. Since I am here on vacation, I’m just glad I found it. Highly recommended for anyone passing through!

Love this place and close to home but totally worth the drive. The wait staff was incredible friendly. Our food arrived in a timely manner and hot. The hubby ordered the Discombobulator beer and enjoyed it. Ordered our favorites the Brick Oven Club and Carne Diavolo Pizza. They did not disappoint. Had a wonderful date night. Plenty of pizza toppings and the sandwich was filling. Thanks Silver Gulch!!

Honestly I could write a story about our experience but we came in planning to spend $100+ two steaks multiple cocktails an app and dessert
Left paying for one drink that 100% didn’t get the alcohol added (that’s another story) and our app. Our food was over cooked we waited an hour for it to come out wrong and choose to just leave and have McDonalds. We had to wait 30 mins for our server to come back and say the second drink I chose to be out and another 15 mins to be told the next choice was ALSO out. Honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a while- wouldn’t recommend especially since it’s out of the way. Still upset I didn’t get dessert but I wasn’t ordering something else to be messed up and wait insanely long times for.

It’s well worth the trip if you’re in Fairbanks. Delicious beer, you can get tasters (5 maximum). The Reuben Rolls are shockingly similar to something me and my friends love in Arlington, Virginia. The burger is perfectly fine (the only place in Alaska so far I’ve had a burger cooked to order!) , I’d probably try something else next time, but the potato wedges and the malt vinegar they have are great.

Make sure to make a stop!

My colleagues and I flew into Fairbanks on Jan 19, 2025 and decided to stop by for dinner. We arrived less than an hour before they closed and felt guilty about ordering food that late. Our server assured us that it was ok and even mentioned that the Executive Chef was there and sometimes offers a personalized experience (off-the menu, custom order). The chef came out and talked us through some options that he would like to experiment with and we jumped on it. I have to say this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food quality and flavor were top-notch as well as the service from both our server and chefs. I also must add that the beer was awesome too, after all it is a brewery! I will definitely be back whenever I’m back in Fairbanks!
