We love this “hidden in plain” sight gem. The food is consistently top-notch and the service is great. I always feel welcomed and comfortable. Highly recommend if you are traveling on I-30 near Mount Vernon. We will be back.

I came to eat lunch around 2:30 pm on a weekday and was very impressed compared to what I was expecting. Pros: Not crazy busy, very clean (even the restrooms were nice, but watch out for the hot water coming out of the cold water side of the sink in women’s restroom), service was excellent, food came out fast and was delicious (except the refied beans), and the air temperature in the restaurant was perfect (I usually freeze to death in most places). Cons: Had to wait at hostess stand for a good while before they noticed me, and water to hot in restroom sinks. Overall, based on just today’s visit, I’d recommend giving this place a try.

Tex-mex at its finest. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and food comes fast to the table. Amazing place to bring the family out or enjoy a night out at the bar. By far my favorite place to sit down and eat in Mount Vernon.

Almost $50 for a fajita trio for two barely any beef shrimp wasn’t bad chicken blah sour cream sauce was good decent price don’t let it get cold because then it’s disgusting same can be said with the spicy queso the white queso is just really bland like most of the food extremely loud it’s like being in a nightclub not a place for families don’t waste your money way too expensive they’re more focused on the bar crowd, the video doesn’t have sound for some reason but it is extremely loud so if you can get the sound to play you’ll hear how loud it is sadly I doubt this will be taken seriously from owner or management because it doesn’t seem like they pay much attention

I preface this with the fact that is was very busy and it was clear that the wait staff and kitchen was overwhelmed. However, I should say they need to train their staff better on how to handle the stress of being busy. The food was good. But we waited over an hour for it and saw people who were seated after us get theirs. Our waitress was sweet and apologized. I hope the service is better when not as busy and hopefully they learn to handle heavy business.

We were a party of 10. We were made to wait to order, wait for the food to be auctioned off, wait for the bills and then they were not given to the correct person. The beans were not hot when I received my meal. They chicken was not tender. I had to ask for water to be refilled and twice for tortillas.
I strongly suggest you train your staff. So they know who gets what meal, and who gets which check. I can understand some lack of service when you are busy. For our whole time there were only four other tables. I for one will not be a returning customer.

We just left about 15 mins ago. There was no one to great us. Hostess finally showed up, she sat us at dirty booth with wet, dirty cups, bottles and tip still at table. She took cups and left. I thought she was coming back to clean wet table and take other items. Table rocked bad. We flagged her down again asked if she could take bottle and tip away and bring towel. She took items and did not come back to wipe table down. Waitress never came to take any order, So we left. Only had 5 tables full and 2 waitresses and hostess were just talking. We have eaten lunch and dinner before and service has always been ok, but not tonight. So we are on our way now to Sulphur Springs.

Tried out Silver Cantina last night, it was excellent! Fast, friendly service. Beans and rice were fresh and well flavored, shrimp cocktail was well presented and tasted great. Their beef and chicken were both tender and nicely seasoned. The building has been recently remodeled, much brighter and cleaner looking imho. Happy to have a new place in town to eat, and much better food than I’ve had at other comparable restaurants in the area. Will definitely be going back soon, highly recommend.
