My first time there and I was impressed. We had a large group and our little waitress Sherry (spelling?) nailed it. She was friendly, funny and on the ball. The whole staff was friendly and sweet. The place was clean. Fantastic food and really fair prices. Check out the menu. It had games for kids, lots of gifts, open bar and TVs in the dining area. My kind of atmosphere. Oh and a good place to have a good ole fiddle tune jam.

Silver Dollar, Gift Shop, Café and Saloon is a unique uh…. place. It is spacious, occupying at least two old buildings on main street. The décor is pine wood furniture, authentic metal ceiling tin, country store shelving and displays, decorated with pawn shop / thrift store paraphernalia.
A food hall, a bar, a recreation area, maybe a dance hall, and what they refer to as a gift shop.
Details. Frist of all I didn’t see a single silver dollar. I have been in silver dollar bars before, so I expected to see the walls lined with the old coins. Where are they? Next the saloon. A sectioned off area in the back. A real bar! There is a big selection of beers on tap and all the liquors necessary to make any drink you can come up with. It looks like a comfortable place to drown your sorrows.
Gift shop? Not for the persnickety people I have to shop for. A kid with $10 could score some cool stuff though.
Food. It is good. I asked our nice server Sydney, “How’s the chili?” The answer “I like it!” Fair enough. Open face chili burger with cheese, onions, mustard and jalapenos for me. My wife picked the salad with crispy chicken. The salad was fresh and excellent. Check the pictures. The chili, yes sir! Silver Dollar makes good TexMex style chili. It was covering an enormous chunk of hamburger. Half pound probably. With the mustard, onions, cheese and jalapenos on a toasted burger bun, it was just right! The French fries were fresh cut, not crispy, not that great. Order a different side.
The chili alone could lure me back.

This is a nice main st style cafe. With a bar and a flea market mixed in. LOL. The food is pretty good, but it could be great. Everything is unseasoned. Which I understand for the older clientele. It’s just bland. The appetizers are well sized, well breaded, and good, but throw some salt and pepper on them and they liven up a lot. I had the pleasure of dining at Silver Dollar Cafe in Collinsville today, and I was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant is a hidden gem, tucked away in a strip mall, but it’s definitely worth seeking out.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a mix of vintage and modern decor. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent.
I ordered the chicken, mushroom and swiss with french fries and a side salad. The dish was delicious, and the portions were generous. I also enjoyed an excellent bloody Mary.
The inside of this place is surprising and much more than a restaurant. It has a large stage and a dance floor, and they offer live music on weekends.
Overall, I had a great experience at Silver Dollar Cafe. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a fun atmosphere.

I haven’t eaten here for years. We moved back to the area and it’s exactly like I remember it. Huge burgers and fresh cut fries. Big portions and home cookin. We were there with a very large group and they did a nice job. The 2 waitresses we had did a great job dealing with all of us. Food was great and so were the drinks. Lots of stuff to look at in this great building. I love the history of old buildings and businesses that have been staples in communities for decades.
